Thanks all for keeping the info flowing. I fell asleep here in TN. but am excited for a new season, new coach, new players. Upped my giving to the University and hope there's a game in Nashville, Huntsville, or Memphis sometime soon. I may get to Lexington on the 22nd but that's a long haul (not saying there's a relationship btwn the 2 lol except for my interest in the college).

In this league, 2 guys is normally all a team gets for 'dependable' offense and that's if they are lucky to keep those 2 healthy. UMBC had 1 guy last year. Sometimes a surprise transfer comes in and then another kid is developed and maybe you get a surprise or a streaky shooter. But normally the rest are supporting cast and then it's up to the coach to work it.

Agreed on uptempo and subs. Entertaining in a year where W's will be hard. Might see more students with more Desousa dunks. Normally I appreciate a more deliberate approach and emphasis on D but this year, not so sure.

Niksa Nikolic, Jr., F: At 6-foot-8 and 235 pounds, the Serbian big man will give the Gaels some bulk in the paint. He could even get the nod over Agee or Still on opening night. Ben Perez, Jr., G: The junior-college transfer began his career at San Diego State. He's a strong shooter who should contribute right away, in or out of the starting lineup. Andrija Ristanovic, Fr., F: The 6-foot-11 redshirt freshman can stretch the floor. Like Maxwell, Ristanovic may soon play a bigger role, but just returned this week after a broken bone cost him six weeks. Although he has yet to play, he spent last season with the team.

Yup, many difficulties this year are on Coach B for not playing subs more last year. We had a mediocre result in a basement conference. Hope Coach B learns and plays a deeper bench.
