Has there ever been a JC transfer to earn 1st team honors multiple years?

Not that I can remember and certainly not for Albany. Evan is the first guy to be on the first team for two years in a row since Jamar. That's pretty amazing.

For the most part we had an 11 man roster this year and 6 of those players got an all-league award.

Awesome to see Joe Cremo take home both awards!

Pikiell winning coach of the year......S.B. wins IN SPITE of him....

Not true, he's a good coach.

Pretty simple for SB at this point, either their perimeter performs and they win...or they don't and they look how they did against us and Vermont.

Story in the TU about the conference awards - http://www.timesunion.com/sports/article/UAlbany-s-Joe-Cremo-picked-as-top-rookie-sixth-6861885.php

Joe Cremo on getting the ROY award and SMOTY:

"It's not about individual awards. I won MVP awards (at Scotia) but I always stayed true to my guys on the team. It can never be about individual awards when you are trying to accomplish team goals."

On a side note...I find it awesome that the Front Court was supposed to be the teams greatest weakness, but both starters there won Player of the Week at least once. Amazing final week by Greg Stire. I don't think he gets nearly enough credit for the hard work he put in all year.

Yes this team loses 3 all conference players, but it retains Stire, Rowley, and Peters, gains McKinley (who BTW looks like he bulked up during the season and is great to watch during warm-ups) and the team might get Charles back.

With Cremo, Ennema, Nichols, and Andrews this team should remain a top level team. If Jenkins is as good as advertised and we add a recruit or 2: I wouldn't be surprised if the team is even better next season. (Scary thought considering losing Hooley, Singletary, and Sanders!)
