Same as in any other sport, favoritism toward the power conferences, where the money is.

Plus the Big Ten entry into lacrosse is new, so they expect it to dominate as in football and basketball. They are teams everybody's familiar with, unlike, say, us.

The difference between America East and the Colonial in lacrosse is razor-thin. Massey ranks our strength of schedule 18th, Hofstra's 32nd.

What we need to do is to appeal for an American Athletic Conference membership, and make a commitment to upgrade our football program and facilities.

Maryland won last night, Ohio state collects another loss... although it was close.

Great discussion, and on paper Coach Marr put together a pretty compelling schedule. I think everyone expected Cornell and Harvard to be stronger and within the AE Vermont was supposed to be on the rise.

The easy teams to work something out with are Bryant, Army, Hofstra, in the Big10, Penn State, and hopefully we keep the home and away with Maryland.

Until the Danes make the final four and hopefully win it, Albany will continue to be viewed as a mid-major as was said on the telecast yesterday.

The recruiting pipeline is very strong and the Albany brand is growing and having a kid who was on the circuit I can say Albany is starting, not there yet, to be looked as a lacrosse destination. The next step is to expand the lacrosse facilities which is becoming a must have to take that next big leap.

I'll defer to those closer to the school and program to weigh in on the finances and ability for a SUNY school to aggressively pursue a capital campaign to support the lacrosse program.

Army beats Notre Dame in OT. Albany's LaxPower RPI up to #3

Army has a good team. Too bad the committee is going to put in some of the big Conference teams that don't deserve a bid. Army won't get in

Maybe if we have a national vote we can

remove the maac's automatic qualifier....and give army a bid.

removing the MAAC would only end the play-in game, wouldn't add another at-large

I know.... just taking a jab at the lowly maac

I completely agree with this .... our athletic program has dominated the America East for a while now ... need a commitment to move up...

Yale almost choked in the last minute of that game. The Yale player trying to run the time out should have passed the ball up the field. A big bonehead play. Like 72 said that last-second shot almost tied the game
