Slowly taking a back seat to the best basketball program in the SUNY system.

Buffalo has finally surpassed us having been in a better conference, larger budget, and better facilities all these years.

They're having a nice run.

Still would be great to see another SUNY men's basketball program beside us make the NCAA tournament without having players arrested. Buffalo is down from having three guys arrested during their first trip to only one arrested after their second trip. They're on their way.

Sorry if this sounds snarky but I couldn't help but notice.

Haha did not know about the off the court stuff with them. Either way, according to everyones favorite verbal commits they have two 3.5 star recruits for next year with multiple high major offers.

All good things must come to an end. Tomorrow morning is one of my favorite days of the year when the Danes are playing. I have some people over for a nice pregame brunch and have a couple mid day pops while I watch the game. Sad we aren't a part of it this year but I think we have been pretty fortunate the past 10 years or so. I will keep an eye on the game tomorrow but probably won't sit to watch the whole thing.

I won't be watching either... I make it a point to not watch if we aren't in it.

Sorry there won't be another game. It amazes me that people talk about the "c-tourney" games costing money. We have an athletic department filed with non-revenue sports that travel to play and costs money to do so but when it comes to tournament basketball games we all become budget conscious.

If nothing else, not having to practice and travel for a post-season tournament should give the staff more time to recruit.

Any concern about budget for me is secondary... It's to painful realizing that the ultimate goal will not be met and this this game has always been dissappointing especially considering historic performance in these tournaments. Aren't we winless?

As for money saved... It'd probably enough to fund cola.

I understand the choice; but I am nevertheless disappointed. Whatever happened to "Ill play any team, anywhere, anytime, even in the middle of Western Ave." {roughly quoted--Robert Ford} attitude? I am disappointed for the the boys & girls who "mostly" rode the bench on every non-varsity and INTRA-mural sport that would have them, before moving to the stands to still in a way feel part of the team. I am disappointed for every player picked last and playing right field, hoping to make the catch of a lifetime and simultaneously praying the ball would not be hit to him/her. I am disappointed for every playground "star: hoping to make the winning 3 on the buzzer and of course simultaneously praying don't pass it to me.

Melo-dramatic you say. But how many of you fans (especially some of us older ones) would donate a kidney for ONE MORE GAME in right field and one more desperation heave to win a "meaningless" playground game.
