MTS puts it to Vermont 64-91.

 

Normally I'd route for an AE team in the NIT.. however, I want MTS and St. Mary's to put on a clinic and show the NCAA they should have included those mid majors.

LOL, yes I think MTS definitely played with a “chip on their shoulder” — especially in the 2nd & 3rd quarters where they outscored the Catamounts 57-21! Giddy Potts is one heck of a three point shooter.

The NIT plays 4 quarters instead of two halves? 10 or 12 minutes? Interesting ... .

And it's dumb. I hate the four quarter game in the NBA as well.

 

These are grown men, field position doesn't matter...play two halves...even in the NBA.

I think it's done for commercial breaks in the NBA, to be honest.

In the college womens game, at least, the quarter break replaces one of the media timeouts, so the difference isnt that great, except for last, shot-clock-off possessions at the end of the first and third.

 

I didnt watch much closely, did they also try the womens foul system - two foul shots awarded after the fifth foul of each quarter, no one-and-ones. Thats a change I dont care for.

Yes 2 shots after 5 fouls. Also wider lane and longer 3 point line. Offensive rebounds, clock reset to 20 seconds instead of 30.
