This could be an interesting game! Who will the key on Drew , Dillon , Buddy . No way does Buddy ever rush for over 100 yards again but Drew or Dillon might. This may open the passing game this week . Hopefully the defense is on their game and we can get a win.

This is going to be a tough game for us with the limited offensive spectrum we appear to have. Bryant is traditionally tough at home and is built to stop the run.

The key for us to win is for Buddy to pass for 200+ yards. If he does that, I think we win. If not, our defense will need to create turnovers.

A couple key games in the NEC this week as well:

CCSU - Wagner

Duquesne - RMU

If CCSU and RMU both win, the game next week between then will be for the AQ. Great competition in the league this year.

What ever happened to us being "too good for this league"? Whatever happened to get out of the NEC, join the CAA or whatever?

Its one year. Lets not get all crazy here. We've got considerable young talent. We tend to go through cycles like this because we end up with a lot of guys that play for a long time and then when they graduate we end up with a very young team. It happened after our first two NEC titles in 2002-2003 and it happened again.

And the push for getting out of the NEC was always based on the desire to be competitive nationally - which is next to impossible with 40 scholarships. Teams have down years with 63 rides, but when they're on up years they have the ability to win a National Championship. When we have up years we will have a tough time getting out past the 2nd round of the playoffs.

BTW, just looking at the box score - Leathey had another solid statistical game.

15 rushes for 94 yards

13-29 for 179 yards passing and 1 TD.

The problem is he got sacked 5 times, his completion % wasn't very good, and he threw two INTs.

danefan that is a good observation but the numbers are somewhat miss leading . In the first quarter we moved the ball well i think Leathley hit his first seven passes all out of the shotgun. Then we started to go under center and they all out blitzed and we could not pick the blitz up! We have what should be one of the best tandem running backs that we have had in a long time and they can't average more than 2 point something yards a carry! That tells me that our offensive line is not doing the job period!!! They look out of shape and are not able to be effective for more than a quarter or two! One of the picks was Buddy's fault all the way the other was in our guys hand. We can not win if our QB is the leading rusher. The completion percentage was caused by having to throw the ball away and hurried throws late in the game. I want to see Dillon carry the ball more Andrew also seems to be somewhat out of shape as well. Now to the play calling TERRIBLE!!!! we can not as much as it's important run off tackle with any sucess , we need to get to the outside first then the middle will open . This has been going on all year . We were missing are starting two inside linebackers and our safety and it showed . All that having been said we are young and hopefully growing in a positive way and should be improving in the next few years
