I took some shots yesterday with my phone...if I get to it I'll post them this evening. I didn't have a high vantage point so not sure how they will look but I'll post them.

 

Clack, where are the photos?

In this picture they appeared to have dug a foot in or so maybe the site for one of the drill...

What's being dug is a small retention pond area which will serve as the runoff location for the underfield drain system of the new turf field.

I think that stays too right?

 

If landscaped right it could be a really nice touch. Although it won't be full all the time right? Only when the water table rises under the stadium?

Probably so runoff from thunderstorms doesn't overwhelm the storm sewers. Since the field will be on a concrete base, rain can't soak into the ground and would run directly into the drains (or Western Avenue).
