By the way, I got 5-1 odds they start deleting all the negative comments? Any takers?

I just made the comment that I really started to think about last night after stepping away from the board for a few hours...does the Admin and AD really think this low of it's own fan base that we would use seats and what not as projectiles, especially when 90% of the seating is on the same time as where the team we root for sits on?

I think the problem is a lack of thinking. The fact that they used NFL images and NFL FAQ means it could not have been planned. Or maybe NFL gave them permission, but I'd be shocked..who knows.

8000 stadium is not MetLife stadium and we shouldn't have the exact same rules. Bag policies can make sense, but we are trying to grow what the Valley Cats have which means FAMILY and FAN friendly. NFL doesn't need to be either, that's why they can get away with such a strict policy. We however are not the Jets or Giants.

Surprised no one has mentioned the NFL comparison on the Facebook post

I can easily post my entire email on the FB post LOL but...I've been biting my tongue since this group here is more tight knit and many of us have met in person...

Just curious. Last Saturday when I was being blocked from entering the stadium by staff due to the stadium seats, I demanded to know who made the decision. I was told...can't identify the person who told me. Is anyone else privy to this info?

Incidentally, the UA Football FB page has a comment with regards to the parking. Should we be adding our reviews of the game 1 experience?

I wonder how this will affect other venues and sports. Like Lax. Can you bring seat pads and chair backs to John Fallon? I went to a soccer game at Casey earlier in the year and probably could have dragged in a dead moose and no one would have noticed.

Surprisingly, I got an email response from the Assistant AD (Cegles) about wanting to talk on the phone or meet in person for coffee to discuss my concerns further. Was fully expecting my email to go unnoticed and ignored. Not sure what there is to discuss...so I won't be taking them up on the offer.

Why did you write the email of you didn't want to talk to someone? Here is your chance to talk to someone who works there vs talking to just other fans and festering about it. Probably a good opportunity.

Them knowing my thoughts is the reason why I wrote the email. Didn't even expect a response. What are they/he going to tell me that I don't already know? Just a bunch of lip service and excuses is what I guarantee he will give me. Most likely something about safety thrown in for good measure. It will be a waste of my time, and frankly, his. The department has better things to do...like back tracking on the seats (don't really care about the bag policy although I did make mention of the baby bags because I'm about to start a family, etc.). That is the ONLY option here...anything else is futile and like I said a waste of peoples' time.

They now know how I feel, as a season ticket holder, and I hope they are paying attention to their FB page/comments or perhaps this thread to see how others feel. That is enough for me and was my whole point of 'venting' to them via email.

EDIT: Furthermore, Jimbo already spoke to someone there and basically got the aforementioned lip service and excuses ("security/safety")...so what will change with me (who's been a fan a shorter period of time than Jimbo and probably has donated less and thus has less 'pull') talking to them? See the beginning of this thread.

You're making a mistake. They are asking for input...and you want to thumb your nose at them?

How are things supposed to get better. I learned a long time ago that tone does not go over well in e-mail, texts, etc.

Take the meeting...it could be 5 minutes...could be 30. You'd be helping the situation.

Take the meeting and talk for us that live far away. This AD wants to do things right but need input from fans. As a dad who is about to go from one child to three, talking about policis that make for a better experience for families is important. Please take the meeting.
