I think we're going to win 4-5 games for a slight improvement. We still don't have a QB...although there was talk that Crook had a shoulder issue much of last year which *may* explain why he sucked so bad. Our running game is up in the air a bit because of the whole Croskey thing...and obviously we're missing Gontarek...but Roberson has a full year under his belt now so he should be better.

Defensively, I don't remember much from the spring game.

As for Buffalo, I still think they clean our clocks and we lose by 30+.

OK, now we're talking...about football at least! I think with the new receivers coming in they should not miss Gontarek very much. TE should be much improved. The O-Line is all upper classmen and "should" be a

strong point. You may not have noticed on the 2016 roster, but Eli Mencer, originally a running back, then a LB convert, is now listed as a RB again. He was touted out of HS so maybe losing Croskey won't be so bad. QB.....ahhh....QB. I'm gonna give it a few games..... I see the defense as better this year. So, barring injuries, I see improvement. Still, UB will be a tough task. Hope they can keep it closer. Duquesne gave them a good scare a couple of years back so it's doable.

The start times are up - http://www.ualbanysports.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=15800&ATCLID=211074603

I might be in the minority but I'm glad they're starting the November home games at 1 PM instead of 3:30 and 7 as they've done in the past. Hopefully there will be a little bigger crowd and they stay longer if it's a little warmer.

So, to all you formal ex football players on the board, what are our boys doing

right now to prepare for the season? Do they get to work with any of the coaching staff at all now?

Or do they need to wait until the official start date of practice. I assume they are all lifting... but what else?
