MBB at UMBC

Maybe the board's overlooking this game, but No one at UAlbany looking past UMBC

Albany Game Notes

UMBC Notes

I'm not overlooking them.

They've been kind of a strange team so far. They've played the top of the conference tough but that hasn't translated into wins over the bottom half of the conference. A problem with having a young team. Certainly there is talent there.

Brown said Albany only took 1 free throw in the first half. Said second half of conference play they don't get the calls because AE coaches are complaining about how many free throws UA gets. He said UA not a jump shooting team but a driving team and draw and earn those fouls. Wanted to see stats on total free throws per team for the game. mentioned something about suero being top in the country in free throws a few years ago and stopped getting calls. Finished it off with saying the refs did a good job. haha

Didn't watch the game.

Statistically speaking, team-wise, we had a pretty good game. Only thing that was bad was the 19 TO's. The %'s were all pretty decent.

Our D wasn't great to let up 44 points in a half...but a win is a win.

UA FT 20-24, UMBC 19-23. UMBC had one more foul (19).
