It has been an amazing few days for UAlbany! Coach Abe and Coach Brown have successfully led their teams back to the NCAA tournament. This is the fourth consecutive year for the women and the third for the men.

The 13th seeded women’s team will play Duke at noon on Friday in Durham, N.C., at Cameron Indoor Stadium, and the game will be televised live on ESPN2. The 14th seeded men’s team will face Oklahoma at 7:27 p.m. on Friday at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio, on TruTV and on ESPN Pacific Rim in Australia.

We wanted to give you a sneak peek at the UAlbany commercial that will be airing nationally this weekend.

Whether you are traveling to the games, watching at one of the Alumni Association viewing parties or at home, show your support for the Great Danes by wearing your purple proudly on Friday!

It has been an incredible first six months for me as athletic director at UAlbany. I look forward to many more exciting memories with our student athletes, coaches, staff, alumni and Capital Region fans.

Nice! They sell spots in the tournament games by what they call "Windows" (games being played at a similar time). So if the spot is airing in the Albany/Oklahoma game on Tru TV it will also air in Oklahoma St./Oregon on TBS, Duke/#16 seed winner on CBS and the Davidson/Iowa game on TNT.

They still have billboards up. But now the each read various stats about the school's athletics. Such as 8 NCAA lacross births, 70+ conf championships etc.
