[MBB] Game #6: 11/25/17 - 1:05pm - @ Holy Cross

22 November 2017 - 09:02 PM

Last Up: W (91-73) vs Dartmouth
Next Up: @ Holy Cross (2-2, 2 game losing streak, gave up nearly 90 in both losses so we might be able to score on these guys)
TV/Streaming: Patriot League Network on Stadium - Link
Local Radio: 104.5 FM

Great win on the road against Dartmouth and a solid start to the season at 5-0. Lots to like but some stuff to work on. Offense is looking to be in mid-season form already but defense had a few moments in the early parts of this season already. If we can tighten that up to match the efficiency of the offense, we'll be ROCKIN. Brown is doing an awesome job and has built a great roster with lots of depth.

[MBB] Game #5: 11/22/17 - 7:00pm - @ Dartmouth

Easy win against Oneonta, some of our end of the bench guys got some solid burn and proved our depth. We can realistically use the whole bench on any given day. Plenty of bodies.

Next game will be a bigger challenge.

Things that jump out:

  1. We are absolutely OWNING people on the boards. Stire, Foster, Charles and co. are KILLIN it. Every game has been a +10 advantage. I don't remember the last time the bigs were this good for us.
  2. We've shot more than 50% from the floor all but one game. This means we're taking not only high-efficiency shots but also smart shots/not forcing the issue.

[MBB] Game #4: 11/20/17 - 7:00pm - vs Oneonta

Another excellent win against Yale.

To quote DP, we've now accomplished the following to start the season:

Preseason MAAC #1 Iona - Down

Preseason Patriot #2 BU - Down

Preseason Ivy #2 Yale - Down

Ast. Coach Iati was suspended for 1 game and served his suspension against Yale. Coach Brown is also suspended 1 game and will serve his suspension against Oneonta. Should be a breeze either way.

Season is going great so far. It's even better because LCC is AT THE ABSOLUTE BOTTOM OF THE MAAC (LOL) and those poor souls are looking for anything and everything they can to try and feel better about themselves and their borderline D2 coach/team. Including talking about UAlbany scheduling Oneonta when it's a known fact that Brown is FORCED to schedule this game and has publicly stated (at least at last years meet and greet) that he hates doing it. There is like 2-3 active UA threads on their forum at all times. Love it. For those of you LCC fans lurking here...keep talking about attendance. That's about all ya got the last decade+. UA has wiped the floor with you and beat you like a red headed step child behind the barn in every other metric, sport, etc.

[FB] 2017 Season Review...where do we go from here?

12 November 2017 - 12:38 AM

Just gonna go ahead and get a jump on this...let's have it folks. What ya got? What's in store for next year? Do have ANY supreme talents on the bench red shirting who'll play import roles next year? What do we do with the coaching staff? Do we call for changes as a fan base or do we let the chips fall wherever they may?
