2015 America East Tournament

At one point during the game against UVM, Hooley seemed to wave to coach to give him a rest. I'm not sure he is 100% on his feet yet but he's playing well! Starters don'e matter as much to me as who gets the minutes.

Anyone know the reason why the tournament is set up this way.... and not at one venue?

It's really anti-climatic to end the conference season that way. As for upgrading and improving the AE brand,

this isn't the avenue to travel. Good for us this year, but overall weak.

 

Anyhoot... I believe Hooley has needed time to condition himself and get his legs and shot back.... and I think he's accomplished that.

He's been our mvp for quite a while... mvp's normally don't take the bench on tipoff.

 

Now, how about we smash some skulls this Wednesday. Show no pity!

I believe SB complained about being a higher seed playing on the 'road'...

As far as Hooley is concerned, it's about who finishes than who starts. I believe he is ready, but coach knows best.

I think this approach is better. Gives exposure to each school, allows schools to host a game (generating buzz etc.) and rewards in-season playing.

I like it, we weren't going to host any time soon again. This gives us potentially 3 more home games.

I think only if you are a big conference, and there's an atmosphere a la MSG does it make sense to have it in one "central" location.

I preferred the unified tournament. I liked to watch the games and meet some of the other fans each year. I was able to go to the sites regardless of location. It's nice for the top seeds, but if you aren't one, as we weren't the last 2 years, we'd have to do a lot of traveling to watch our team.

ESPN3 Upcoming schedule shows AE games at 1:00 and 2:00 - and remember that Daylight Savings Time starts that day

 

It also shows the women's semifinal games at 2:30 and 4:30 that day.

What I had heard was 12 and 2 for men and 2 and 4:30 for women unless the unlikely event 6, 7 and 8 seeds all win men's on Wednesday in which case bingo men would be at noon and women would be moved to later (than 2) in the day . Have not checked officially (on line ) and will not do that until Thursday:) if someone else had a link , let me know

I'm with you. I went to all the tournaments since we joined America East and they were fun. The tourneys in Boston were the most fun even though we were horrible back then. I liked that you had all the teams, coaches, fans staying in one place. We'd walk into the bar after dinner and run into Vermont's coaching staff.

I agree about the finishing. The thing I like about this group is they don't seem to care who gets the start or the points. They just play as a unit and worry about winning.

 

As much as I like Dallas, our backcourt is tougher to guard with Hooley in there. With him we have three guys who can shoot the three and drive the ball to the hoop. It doesn't sound like much but you really can't cheat off anyone when you have that lineup.
