5. thank you everyone....I will try some of the fundraising ideas and forward them to the team.
6. I just want to throw this topic out there as a local high school is starting a new lacrosse program for boys and girls. I played lacrosse in high school and I am sure many here have as well. Currently they are competing at club level and having intra squad scrimmages. They are in need of equipment donations ranging from elbow pads to goals. Helmets, gloves, and goggles for the girls are needed. The coach has started to accumulate some equipment but as many are aware in today's budget crisis that faces many school's athletics typically takes a back seat. I am looking for ideas on how to get equipment for the school and the players so they can continue to move the program in the right direction. If anyone can help with ideas or if you have or know someone who has some equipment not being used please let me know so we can help the high school kids. Thank you
7. Easy there....at least the Yankees have a history...Mets, what? 14666 The key word there -- "history" 14668 one thing...for yank fans.... Torre double switch pulled A rod. Who would of thought....
8. THAT HAS TO BE THE DUMBEST RANKING SYSTEM OF ALL TIME. TOTAL POINTS FOR ALL RECRUITS? WHY NOT RANK BY AVERAGE? 14671 TELL FANTASY NERD TO STAY OUT OF RANKING SYSTEM....these type of people help make the BCS. Please stop and let the games be played.
9. As a Met fan and Dane fan. I have found some common similiarities. Siena reminds me so much of a Yankee fan as they point to history and live off the past. The present and future matter and not the 26 rings you won over past inferior teams. Siena is still living off the past as U Albany becomes the #1 show in town. I predict in a few years we may have similiar debates between U albany and 'Cuse. We will look back and say Siena.....oh yeah...I remember those games, are they still D1?
10. UW-Green Bay approves plan to allow deer hunts on campus ADVERTISEMENT Wi Section Sponsors Gundersen Lutheran State Bank of La Crosse Advertiser Directory Advertising Information By Associated Press . GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay will allow archers to hunt deer on campus in an effort to control what school officials say is a growing nuisance deer population. The hunters will have to follow certain requirements, including shooting from stands at least 12 feet off the ground and remaining at least 100 yards from specific trails. The campus will still be safe even with the hunters there, said Dean Rodeheaver, the school's assistant chancellor for planning and budget. ``If we had any doubt, we wouldn't be doing it,'' Rodeheaver said. ``We don't have concerns about safety.'' About 40 to 50 deer roam campus, about twice the preferred number, said Bob Howe, director of the school's Cofrin Center for Biodiversity. The increasing number of deer wreak havoc on vegetation, contribute to car-deer crashes and raise the risk of an increased prevalence of Lyme disease, Howe said.
11. If there was ever a year to jump on the bandwagon this is it. I unfortunately have been spearheading the bandwagon back when I was the only one on it. 14027 LETS GO METS GO!!!
12. [ Man this board is dead the last couple of days, so I’m gona continue having conversations with myself. 14013 NOT SURE...about late signing period. In defense of non posting. I have baseball and softball 4-5 days a week with the kids.....not leaving much time. with thoughts turning to baseball and the NFL draft.....hard to focus on basketball for next few months.
13. [ agreed! NO way he is leaving. He has another tournament bound team coming in next year. Why would he leave when he is still improving his resume. He will be here for another 2-3 years minimum. Does anyone know is he has any escape clauses in his deal ? Example is if a certain job opens at a particular college.....is he allowed to leave?
14. I liked the Jason Graber ...Ted Hotaling connection but that is back in 93-94 when I attended UAlbany. But Jamar Wilson is the best player ever to be a GREAT DANE!
15. [ congrats again to Thorpe and UA getting some more light. Great ad... and it will be the highlight of the games to see Albany on national TV yet again. I can't wait for the day when this is the rule than the exception.
