Binghamton releases full schedule

For the first time in program history, the Bearcats will play Big 10 Conference member and perennial NCAA Tournament contender Michigan State...

The Bearcats will continue rivalries with Cornell University, St. Bonaventure University, the University at Buffalo, Army, Colgate University and Mount St. Mary's. The University of Pennsylvania, coached by former Cornell coach Steve Donahue, also appear on the schedule. The game will take place in Philadelphia.

Bing vs Mich. State? Is that a joke? That's like UAlbany playing the Golden State Warriors (my pick to win the NBA Championship). They will lose by 200. They won 6 games last year and shot only 40% doing it.

Oy vey. I'm all for gaining experience, but only if you can keep the game within 20-25.

I'm sure that's what many thought about NJIT going into the game last year...you play the game, whatever happens happens. Where's the fun in beating up a loser team and not challenge yourself?

I thought we were going to stop talking about the LCC game.

A little harsh lol. I don't know if we even keep the game against Kentucky within 25.

We're the creme del a creme of the AE right now. If we lose to Kentucky by 30, what do you think Bing will be able to do against Michigan State.

Like I said, I'm all for playing a top ranked team and losing by 20-30 towards the end while keeping it around 10 for most of the games like we usually seem to do...but Bing can't even compete with us (we beat them by almost 20 both times last season), how are they even remotely going to keep it close for even one half against MSU. I just don't understand why you'd put your kids through that. They'd be better of playing someone like a Rutgers or St. Johns or something.

It's the nature of funding your program really. Bing probably has 75,000 good reasons or more to schedule Michigan State.

They have the home and home with Buffalo. That's the game I'd like on our schedule.

It's a money game, no reason for them not to take it. Possibility of damaging players mentally but unlikely from one game... worth the $$.

As as far us being the top of the AE that's very debatable right now. SB is right there with us if not better than us going into the season, no reason we shouldn't be on top as the season plays out however.

Kentucky will beat UA by 20, says nothing about our boys. Has a lot to do with their talent and it being an early season game for us.

Ahh, you do have a point. I didn't think of it from the other teams perspective...get an easy opponent to beat the snot out of and pay them $75k for their troubles.

I stand corrected, lol.

Thank you to Steve Amedio for a fair observation ... nice work ... It will be interesting to see what the finer details of this contract state (who knows at this point) ... looking forward to their release ... LCC still shaking their head that UA basketball has arrived at a point where objective observers believe we deserve equal terms ... onward and upwards ... Go Danes
