Recruiting - 2016

Recommended Posts

Thanks for the explanation, Patch, because I was also wondering if coaching staffs use some sort of formula like "we have to make 12 offers to land 2-3 guys" ... Offering must mean that WB and staff would take any of them, so the "first come, first served" makes sense

Generally that is correct - I think - like all things their are probably exceptions to the general rule!

Sorry click...

Will Tavares..6'6" JUCO SG..originally from RI. Offers from NC Central, Buffalo, Bryant and Maryland Eastern Shore.

If I remember correctly we were looking at Tavares when he was in high school. His Juco shooting numbers are really good and he has great size for a guard. He was one of the leading scorers on that Monroe team that had a bunch of players going to D1.

I'm not sure who we can get out of these lists but we're recruiting in a much nicer neighborhood. A lot of guys with MAC and Horizon League offers. Eric Monroe who Phoenix mentioned is a three star recruit who might be on one of the better high school teams in the country next year. I'm not sure how you convince him to come to Albany from San Diego but that's another story.
