Syracuse has a longer history with Hobart but they play out in Geneva in front of a small crowd. They can sure come to Albany. It’s all a matter of timing because their Hobart game is typically in April and we won’t get them to leVe the wRm confines of the Dome in February.

Looking at their forum pre game comments no one expected to get blown out, but they were realistic in thinking they were dogs for this game and could easily lose it.

Totally forgot this game was today....missed it....just checked the stats and read the comments. Glad I missed it. Hard to get excited about a schizoid team that plays small in big games. Oh well, it’s lax season!

Syracuse LAX site headline "Orange outpaced by Albany".....understatement much? Syracuse.com has good articles and a nice highlight package. One article said Tehoka told them he thought he could improve a lot.

I was in the car returning from down south when the game was on and the live stats could barely keep up in the third. Then I watched the replay last night. Holy cow! Tehoka sure shoots a lot, but I’m sure that’ll change a bit as they get deeper in the schedule. You can’t argue with 5 goals. Syracuse did a nice job holding Fields in check, but the fun of 2018 is going to be watching how opposing D coaches deal with Tehoka and Jakob. Pick your poison. Who do you want to stop? Tehoka is going to get roughed up I’m sure, but he’s fully capable of returning the favor and those big defenders do not like being pushed back like a feather. What a bull that kid is. JD had a hell of a game. And TD...ahhhh TD. Superb. Imagine the Thompson era with TD at the X. Happy MLax fan here.

Wow. I’ve stayed out of this up to now. I’m not sure what the impetus was for the early extension except for recruiting and the AD seeing someone too valuable to let go. We can’t deny the deficiencies on offense and the OC. The defense made the comparable overall statistics very even for what record wise we deem a very bad season. The season would have been very different for want of a very few points here and there. I’m not ready to give up on Brunson and have hopes for the new guy coming in. A passing game is tough to sustain without a running game and EB sitting out I’m certain cost us a couple games at a minimum. The O Line was still coming together and ought to be better this year.

Count me in the list of people who think the move to the CAA was tougher than we know. A couple of plays from the first year stand out
to me. One was Kevin Chillis reversing field and being unable to turn the corner because all of the opposing defensive backs were as fast as him. Another was against UNH when their young kick returner had our coverage teams tackling air and looking silly.

LAX season is dawning.....
