They were going for a short out pattern to #4 but he was blanketed by a defender. Just a terrible pass though. 5 yards over the WRs head.

Just wow. Gattuso doesn't think the other QBs are ready yet. I would put them out there anyway. Can't be worse. Could the loss of Gontarek really be that big? Were teams doubling him and that opened up run game or something? Amazing how against buff and JMU the offense looked much better.

There are zero throws that crook can make... He can't throw a screen, can throw long... No slants are ever run. He doesn't go through progressions at all... Locks in defense be damned... In other words, horrific qb.

Losing games happens but to get smoked on home coming after a $10M donation and in front of a huge crowd is tragic. We don't get crowds like this every day.

They also had Benson and Roger talking before the interview started about the donation and the game and the crowd. Interesting to listen to them when you know you aren't supposed to.

 

EDIT: probably shouldn't have used quotes because it is not direct quotes so understand is is my NOTES of the interview, which was excellent.

 

Benson: "The 10m is a game changer. Deep connection with the family"

Roger: "How long did the process take to get the donation?"

B "Took a long time and they needed to feel confident in the leadership in the university"

R: "What will it be used for?"

B: "Going to touch most areas of our program. Part will go into endowment for academic scholarships which takes pressure off of some of the revenue streams we have and allows us to reinvest revenue into the programs in additional scholarships or staff, operations, travel, recruiting budgets. Part going to the stadium for premium seat opportunities, fan amenities, great game day experience. Other money going to athletic initiatives with many facilities needing upgrades. In conversations with Pres. Jones we've IDENTIFIED THAT SEFCU ARENA IS PROBABLY OUR #1 FACILITY NEED and will start looking at ways to make improvements there."

Roger asks about scoreboard, etc...

B: "I'm hoping this donation inspires others to invest in our program. COMPLETE RENOVATION WOULD BE IDEAL. We need another showcase facility for our basketball program and for president showcases and other speakers. SEFCU is great but we want to make it better."

Excellent. At least something good happened this weekend. The school let us know that SEFCU is a priority.
