I don't know how any of this works, but is it possible that UA has to pay a penalty if they forfeit, so that would cause a real hardship for the program? With the Duke game they were able to get subs, but football is not so easy.

Since it's a league game I don't think you can get a sub. I'm sure there'd be a penalty to pay for the inconvenience and loss of revenue to the host.

From TU story about Antoine White:

Note: UAlbany still hasn't released its 2017 schedule. The Great Danes are trying to finalize their Colonial Athletic Association game against Elon, scheduled for Sept. 30 in North Carolina. New York bans all non-essential state travel to that state because of North Carolina's House Bill 2, which stipulates transgender people must use public bathrooms corresponding with their birth gender. UAlbany associate athletic director Charlie Voelker said the university's legal counsel is working with Gov. Andrew Cuomo's office to find a solution

It is a LEAGUE game. Hence it is necessary! If we forfeit and incur fines, Mr. Cuomo can pay those out of his campaign chest. If we lose out out on an ncaa bid because of a forfeit loss, the loss in revenue and future considerations might be incalculable. Otherwise Mr. Cuomo can anti up the money to get us in a league that does not include any North Carolina teams.

What are the current laws on the books up there in nys pertaining to homosexual, bisexual, semi-bisexual, transgender, semi-transgender,

sexual deviant, etc. and bathroom choice?

Just happy as all $iena that we cancel men's basketball ball games, and others, against the Dukes of the world.

Not completely sure about all of those things, but I think the transgender part refers to it being gender dysphoria, a medical condition, and protects people as if they have a disability that requires accommodations...don't quote me on this. So instead of creating something new, the gov added it to protected disabilities. Edited by jimbo
