Native American Impact on UA because of Thompsons

Recommended Posts

Just something that popped in my head...does the success of the Thompsons at UA and how much the program has accepted the Thompsons, does anyone think a pipeline for recruits can be set-up with Iroquis Nation and other Native American Tribes to get players here, or was this just a small blip in the history of UA lacrosse? It seems that many Native American players have gone to Syracuse and not anywhere else. Has UA tapped into that a little? Anyone think Marr will continue to look in that direction, same as Will Brown did with Austrialia?

I believe we have three Native American athletes due this fall. A defenseman in men's lacrosse. Attack for women's lacrosse. I am not sure about the third, I think mens midfield. Several other schools besides Syracuse have successfully recruited Native American athletes lately (I believe Denver has two or three). I may have my facts wrong or off, but be assured Marr will continue to be aggressive in that area. It also, does not hurt having Miles as an assistant coach.
