St. Francis Brooklyn - 12/17 7:00

Recommended Posts

Final rebound count 50-21

Five players in double figure points, five players with THREE or MORE ASSISTS.

Post-game Brown said Nichols not starting was "coach's decision". He sat the first seven minutes, came in and went turnover, foul, turnover in his first minute but ended with 12 points and 3 assists.

Ennema with ten rebounds.

Attendance 2662 isn't too bad with only two days of finals left.

UAlbany blows out St. Francis

re Nichols:

Brown wouldn't say much, other than it was a "coach's decision."
When asked again if Nichols could come off the bench again when the Danes play at Southern Methodist in Dallas on Tuesday, Brown was again non-committal.
"Who knows? We'll see how I feel when I wake up in the morning," Brown said. "David is an awesome kid from a great family. My thing is, we need to continue to grow and get better as a team. The point guard has a tremendous responsibility, as he is the extension of the coach. I am toughest and most difficult on the point guard. David will be fine."
"Whoever is out there, we expect their best effort," Cremo said. "Whatever lineup (Brown) throws out there, we have to live with it."
Now THERE"S an endorsement

At the end of last game vs Canisius, I said to my son.... "just wasted 2 hours of my time" in a moment of disappointment.

As we were down a few points to St Francis in the first half, my son turns to me and says, "maybe we should watch something else,

maybe we are wasting another 2 hours of our time". Glad we won

Anyhow, a lackluster performance in the first half... without our true point guard granted.

Didn't see much energy or enthusiasm.

2nd half much different. We stopped playing down to our opponent.

Hopefully the Nichols situation sorts itself out. It didn't seem like a popular decision considering the first 10 minutes or so of the game.

Grayson played pretty well getting more minutes than usual.Great to have Charles back!

This is the tough love approach we've seen before with coach.

Either the player toughens up, puts the ego aside, and meets the challenge or they run away like cowards.

Nichols is a tough but intelligent kid. He's work it out and be the better player for it.
