I'm pretty sure it use to be 12pm. A few years ago they made the move to 11am. Can anyone confirm?

It's been at 11 for a while. Wasn't our first in 2006 at 11 or 11:30? In any case, I actually like the timing. Wake up early for the first big game of the day, grab food and/or beer for breakfast, sun rises first in the Northeast sort of thing. It's gotten to be a bit of a tradition, yeah?

I don't see what the issue is with the time. I would rather the championship game be played on a late Saturday morning as oppose to prime time during the weekday or later during the Saturday where it would get lost in the shuffle of the bigger conferences semifinal and finals. Its the only game on at the time and allows for fans that may not be in the area the opportunity to attend the game. Even the MAAC game had to go up against the WCC semifinals which overshadowed it in terms of national coverage

Plus, you get to shuffle out of bed on Saturday and snap to it...get your UA on! Otherwise you have to wait all day.

The build up is the best part though LOL.

Yup, it was mentioned on the America East board by a UVM fan. I would imagine you will get some UVM buying from us. Not sure it matters if UA can't sell all the tickets to UA fans and UVM fans buy them from us instead of waiting for them to go back to UVM's box office if we can fill them all.

Back in 2007 we sold out our allotment. I guess that's what comes with the internet today. There really should have been a code sent out to season ticket holders and email subscribers.

Are you 100% sure about that. When I went in 07 I'm pretty sure we used it all.

 

And if we didn't we held onto them all until there was no more demand, then gave them back. Right now it's open to anyone.

Also I believe on the bus if you are taking the bus.

I thought it was one year in Vermont that I teased someone in "millionaires" row at home games for being in the last row at Vermont. I think our 600 allocation is a full section top to bottom.

I also went up to Vermont one year when they played BU (real one no longer in the league for those that need clarification) and I got a ticket basically because of how few they used in their allocation

Honestly, don't care. Just win. That's all that matters. Don't care if we are in the PIG. People (cough, Siena fans) parse words: THE PIG is an NCAA sponsored March Madness event. In any strict review, it's a tournament game.

 

 

I always want the best seed we can get in any NCAA tournament we are in but it is better to be in than to be like that crap school in the suburbs who has watched our basketball teams consistently beat theirs and go to 8 (5 women's and 3 men's) tournaments since their last basketball appearance

 

BTW on warren Nolan's site, 3 teams already in have lower RPI's than we currently have .

3 others that he has as Currently "leading" there conference are also lower than Albany.

So while RPI isn't the end all , if we win on Saturday, a 15 seed would be my guess.

Historically the Alumni Association had their own set of tickets, this year each person has to buy it from atheltics. I wouldn't assume previous years practices of giving tickets out of the bus are the same. It could be,but we shouldn't assume it.
