I hope this is not to harsh and I know a win is a win but

1) Cremo and Nichols are Jrs now and need to play consistently better. 7 for 26 is no good but its just not this game . Everyone can have off nights but great plays don't have them often . These two need to elevate their games every night .

2) If I were an opposing coach to would move the ball for 30 seconds. Eventually on every possession if you move the ball you will get a high percentage shot . Every time! Defense is bad!

7-1 is good . But team can be so much better .

Did Foster, Conway, or Clark play in the second half? I think I saw Anderson in for a minute. Coach said after Monmouth that he needed to get the bench in more. I didn't see it today.

I know Colgate can shoot, and they cooled off near the end, but the D has to step up. That was ridiculous.

Refs were once again inconsistent and terrible. It was almost 6 minutes into the game before the first foul was called. I thought that NCAA rules video said there would be a bigger emphasis on certain fouls and traveling this season. Certainly didn't see it tonight.

The crowd got into it near the end, but that might have been the smallest crowd I have seen in the arena since a Bing or Maine game in 2014. Was pathetic. Maybe it was because Siena was home tonight as well, but I'm not sure who would go see that dumpster fire of a team.

A win is a win. Time to move on to the next. Get better and win.

Next opponent is Columbia and they are now in OT against UConn

And on the AE board, we keep hearing about how weak our strength of schedule is this year.

WOW. Good for them.

Yeah, I told Click we could have gone deeper in the bench to find a defensive fix, at least short term (this game) but it seemed like CB went away from the bench again.

EDIT: LCC got blown out. Again. HAHAHAHAHA. HA.

Well, thankfully now we have other people who can score. In years past if our backcourt had a bad game it would be hard to win.

Cremo/Nichols - 27 points

Campbell/Charles - 30 points

We look tired and disinterested out there. Or at least tired. Very sloppy turnovers ... .

Starting to think this is a 'tired' thing. Team needs a break.

One more game against Columbia and then we'll finally be able to get more rest with 3-4 days minimum between games. 2 days between might not be enough for these guys with classes, traveling, etc. Even if we lose to Columbia, I'll take 7-2 heading into the 'slower' part of the schedule all day and twice on Sunday. Going 7-2 through the meat grinder that is the beginning of the year is impressive even with our defense woes.

Coach's post-game comments are spot on. Lots to improve on, and I am glad this team is getting a day off tomorrow to rest.

IMHO, we have a long ways to go before we get a win in Burlington. Come March 2018, said win will require holding UVM to around 25 points in the first half and no more than 30.

Any chance you can give a few tidbits of what he said post game ?

A couple of things:

-Colgate is better than I expected. They played smart, ran their offense and for the most part, didn't beat themselves.

-As stupid as this sounds, Nichols and Cremo went 7-26 from the field and 1-8 from three. I'm actually happy that we beat a decent opponent with them having off nights.

-Travis Charles should have been wearing a cape in the post-game press conference because he did everything. The shooting and the points were great but he also grabbed big rebounds and went on the floor to get loose balls. They should watch a film just of him from this game because he did everything he could to put them in a position to win.

-Joe Cremo is an amazing player and a great kid but I really, really wish he would stop complaining to the refs. Granted, he had a lot to complain about tonight.

-When Costa Anderson is open beyond the arc there shouldn't be any thinking about whether it's a good shot or a bad shot. It's a good shot. It could go it and probably will.

-This team has played four games in four different states over the past week. They can be forgiven for being tired and I'm glad they were able to gut this win out. With all the travel the last couple of weeks, it's apparent they need some time at home, some rest and a couple of good practices to work on things.

Is there a press conference with coach and a few players sitting at a table after every game or is it just Brown? I still have no idea why these aren't streamed to youtube and saved there like Siena does. It's really not hard and costs nothing! Phone, youtube app, stream, save, done.

I emailed about this last year and was told they are looking into it but it never happened.

Think we're all getting to the point where we are getting on the team a little too much because of expectations (no one more than myself). We all know the team is good and we all know they can be really REALLY good. (which is what bothers most of us). In the end it'll be up to the players if they want to take the next step. For now we're 7-1, and I'll take that 8 games in no questions asked.
