  1. Hey 00 can't be too unlucky. Its Mr. Mets number and look how they are doing! Excited to see how all these new faces gel with the deep team we have already in place.
  2. From what I have seen it is going to be in the campus center, since they mention meal swipes at the coop along with the game on the other tvs in the cc. Go Danes!
  3. To go along with the great articles that were posted on here, perhaps this means the Danes are destined to beat UCONN. I graduated UA last year and now work in marine weather forecasting....anyways....My first ship route of the day was for a ship called "Federal Yukon" UA will be the first team to route UCONN Coincidence? I dont think so.
  4. Anyone going to be out in albany? Any ideas on where we could meet? Im sure the game would be on cbs6 if not available nationwide
  5. The thing we can be sure of is that Albany is going to be loose. They have absolutely nothing to lose, so Im sure it will be an interesting game regardless of the outcome. This will be a springboard for recruiting (which is already reaching nice levels) and a chance to really get UA on the map. Btw...its nice to not see Albany (NY) on the bottom line anymore...just kind of a funny way to see how far we've come. Haha
  6. Uconn is the one team I didnt want UA to draw. They are going to be fired up after getting beat by Syracuse early in the Big East tourney. Lets just hope they laugh and try to look past us. But yeah seeing Albany on national tv twice in one season is a gift enough! Bring on the Huskies! This has been a season of firsts, why not be the first 16 seed to upset a 1 seed? LETS GO DANES!
  7. Unfortunately I was not able to be at the RACC or watch it on ESPN2 since Im at work...but I listened to the radio broadcast and the intensity of the crowd was awesome, despite having to stay up most of the night in Brown Town. The defense was stifling, and we really exploited the Cat's youth. Jamar took the game over and showed why he was MVP. Lets go a dancin'. Please post any word on tix after we see what bracket were in. Im hoping Philly so I can actually go. Would be nice if a bunch of danes fans could meet up before the game or something. Congrats Albany!!!
  8. As an alum, def excited about the enthusiasm this has spurred in our program. Definately alot different than a few years back when we could barely muster 5 wins. Unfortunately will be working on Saturday, however I will be tuning in to the radio. Would appreciate some posts about tix should UA advance to the big dance. (I only say "should" just so i can not be blamed for jinxing) Thanks!
  9. Great to see some publicity, I think I graduated a year early :-( Def. going to try to make it up to see this exciting team, what a difference a few years makes, now we have multiple options at each position, I remember a few years back when we barely had a starting five. Now we can give our starters the rest they need, and can turn it over to people like Covington, Siggers, Lillis, and Wilson. Could easily be one of the deepest teams in AE. I still feel that BU will be picked to win the tourney although we have the most returnees and will make as much noise as possible. Seeing Albany in my bracket would be so great, 1st round upset a-la Vermont!
  10. I dont think coach would risk sending Morin out for consecutive days, Casey Halloran has done a great job this year as well, she isnt the "control" type pitcher that Morin is, but has good stuff, she gives up ALOT of foul balls, and makes batters work. Should be quite the 1-2 punch for UA and Kelly Ogden has been creaming the ball as of late....so that will bode quite well.
  11. Ill be doing PA announcing for softball that day....Doubleheader vs. cross-town rival Siena, but ill be turning around every so often to check the status of the Lax game for sure. Hope to see some of you there!
  12. olddog71, Thank you for your kind words. As you probably know...Craig and I are both seniors, and will be ushuring in some "new blood" for next years broadcast team, and we are fully confident they will do a great job. It was a great season for both programs, and I have followed these teams throughout my 4 years, and have seen them go from 5 wins or less to >13 wins for both mens and womens basketball....quite impressive and a pleasure to be a part of. We hope you continue to listen to WCDB as Craig will be doing select Lacrosse games, and we still have our weekly sports show on Saturday Noon-3pm Thanks again for the support and for listening!!
  13. I use www.collegerpi.com to look up the RPI statistics, they have both men and womens
  14. Ebony Woods scored 21 points off of us in the regular season, while Lindsay Adams dropped 23 on us at the BPG this year. All conference selections were announced today....with alot of dissapointments/surprises Womens All Conference Selections Heres where I get to vent....how in the world did Danielle Hutcheson not win player of the year...apparently leading the league in blocks (1.63 bpg), offensive rebounds (3.81 orpg), overall rebounds (9.9rpg), being 4th in scoring (15.2ppg), and drawing triple teams EVERY game doesnt do it. Kim Corbitt is a great player, and definatley should have won defensive player of the year, but the stats do not add up for her offensively, shes 23rd in scoring (9.3 ppg), and not even in the top 20 in rebounding. I feel Hutch got snubbed badly, but this should give her motivation to dominate against UNH. Any thoughts?? BTW, Craig and I will be bringing you coverage of all of Albanys tournament games, starting Thursday 830pm tipoff...#6 UAlbany vs. #3 UNH....tune in to WCDB 90.9FM or live on the web http://wcdb.albany.edu
