So to recap the pregame stuff...

  • Patsos has been flapping his gums in the media.
  • Brown has responded and smacked him around a bit verbally.
  • A few LCC kids were suspended but, conveniently, only until the Albany game.

Beginning of the year it seemed like on paper they had a much better team. I'm not so sure that's still the case, but it depends on which Albany team shows up. If the Penn State team shows up, our chances are great. If the GCU team shows up, not so much.

Guess we'll find out on Sunday.

181 tickets still available, per the ticket website as of 2:37PM EST on 11/22. That's kind of sad.

This is the only time I agree with the LCC fans...the fact that this didn't sell out in like 4-5hrs is a pretty telling. Where are our fans? Even if you include the LCC fans who refuse to come to the game cause it's in our 'tiny gym' (similar to how Bob refuses to go the TUC lol), as per their forum there are a few. Even though it's on a holiday weekend and perhaps some people will be out of town...how are we accounting for a loss of 6k fans as possible buyers? This thing should have sold out so quick. Did Benson and staff price the casual fan out of the game by making it $30/$60 (worst seats/best) when any other home game (worst seats) is $10/$18? Not to mention that concessions will easily run one person $10 for a meal for a normal game...

By all intents and purposes, this will likely sell out as there is still 5 days to go...but this was supposed to be the absolute hottest ticket in Albany at least within 2016. So much for that.

One way to look at it is 162 of those are in less desirable sections. Tough to convince someone to make a gut purchase on those tickets for 40 dollars until it's closer to game time and the "oh crap, I'm really going to miss this" feeling kicks in.

There is no other way to spin it but completely embarrassing...firs time out of the gate with a home game and...snag

155 plus whatever the amount is set aside for students. They better figure out a way to get them back to campus. Any current students post on here? What's the deal with those tix?

It might just be my positivity..but it seems like the pricing has worked just fine. My guess is the idea was to make the most money off this game as possible. The game will sell out..almost certainly before game day. To be blunt..it doesn't matter if 10,000 or 7,000 or even one person more than capacity would be willing to pay the prices..just that it sells out..which it will. Supply and demand isn't always linear. If the ticket prices were lower..the department would be generating less money from this game..pretty straight-forward.

Siena tried to stick it to the university by saying this date was the only one available for them. That means less people would be able to attend..students included. Not hard to figure out that's what Siena wanted. But the university will sell..and basically has already..the ~5,000 tickets available for the game.

3500. Should have just lowered prices and sold the 1k student tickets to te public for $20 in the end zones.
