If they lose. They lose this at the line. Missed..10 so far? maybe more.

Agreed. This team’s FT shooting hasn’t been great this year...and we may get our first L because of it.

FT shooting has been stellar before tonight. Near 80% on the year. Still at 75% after tonight..good for top 90 in the country. Interestingly..our 64% tonight is better than about 50 teams' season averages.

18 of 28 fts ( 2 or 3 front ends of 1 and 1s)

15 turnovers Cremo had 7

Gave up 81 pts

Hard to win games like that!

Short...to the point...and highly accurate.

Coach's post-game nailed it as well. At least (unlike other coaches) he took responsibility for part of it.

Too many milk drinkers, not enough beer drinkers as some coaches would say. Not going to harp on it since Monmouth felt like they NEEDED this game and they played like it, but they pushed us around that second half. That being said if we hit our FT's like we normally do we probably escape with a win vs a good team at home. Multiple guys had tough games, didn't shoot the three well (0-5 2H) and believe we only had 1 assists in the 2H on 11 FG's.

Hey, they lost. How many of us would have gladly taken 6-1 after 7 games? Did I read the box score correctly and see that Stire fouled out in 8 minutes? That must be some kind of record.

Agreed. I'd rather lose a non conference game as a "game to learn" from than a conference one. 6-1 still isn't bad.

That said..pretty surprised we didn't see more Anderson or Clark..especially in the second half. Anderson especially I think has helped spell Nichols when he's gotten into funks. 78 minutes between Nichols and Cremo tonight with another game in two days.

Was thinking the same thing last night and CB mentioned it in the post-game that the other guards could have gotten more minutes. Hopefully we get to the point where he trusts those players in those spots.

Last year, after 8 games we were 4-4 and coming off back-to-back losses to Holy Cross and Yale. We have a shot to be 7-1 after 8 games this year.

I think the disappointment on the board is a result of seeing how good this team can be and not seeing it last night. I think there were a variety of factors for that.

Right, I'm not as concerned that we lost as I'm annoyed more than anything at this maybe being our worst effort all season. All my attention right now is on the defensive side of the ball, we are very average there to slightly below average. This is a supremely talented and deep team, no reason we can't be better on that side of the ball. Rebounding is exceptional, we just can't stop a nosebleed inside the arc. Teams are averaging 57% shooting on us inside the arc, that's the average.

KenPom or not, I don't think Monmouth and Colgate are similar at all. From the years of watching Albany play Colgate, they just chuck from three and play no defense (not like we have been either). Monmouth physically beat us up as the team that just came off four OTs.

If this team is as good as everyone is saying, we should take the next three at home. Obviously one game at a time, but it will be very disappointing losing to either Colgate, Columbia, or Bryant.
