I normally mute the opposing voice and color guys of low majors. The high majors have reel pros, folks at this level are usually hacks. Once he went nuts over that close of the first half three I put him on perm. mute.

I am not a supporter or hater of the times Union, but I find it ironic that when we lose no one complains about the lack of coverage. There has not been a blog post since the holy cross loss. Has everyone stopped reading the TU?

Totally agree. Totally. That's a very private matter, which is what made it surprising that ANYONE was talking about it from an announcer perspective. Hooley is as tough as nails, physically and mentally...and here comes a point where a human is just that, human.

 

Again, shocked any announcer made any comment on the subject.

 

I agree it's a very very sensitive topic, but Hooley himself has opened about it online and for news paper reporters for public consumption..which is why I assume the announcer knew. Not that I liked that announcer but I'm not shocked that he made that comment since if you search Hooley's name in Google those multiple news stories come up...including one where Hooley explains that's what he is writing about in the book he's composing. Anyways back to basketball and not the announcer.

To anybody complaining about the Bucknell announcer, did you hear the St. Francis guy on Saturday? Not only even more manic and homerish, he made a lot of mistakes, and apparently was embarrassed to say Dallas' last name, pronouncing it eh-KNEE-ma.

I liked those guys. Reminded me of the Red Green Show.
