OK, here's what we got:

Rebuilding the temporary seating from last year

All the trees down behind the west side

These big concrete culvert/drainage pieces

It's tough to take pictures from a moving car - The Purple Path has some curbing set in a lot of mud

Gives an idea of what 2000 seats looks like.

John Fallon Field:

If nobody has any seating design handy, do you at least know if seating is limited to that one side... or does the seating plan include the southern end too?

TThat's one configuration, it doesn't look like the area is deep enough for 24 rows. Figure about 180 seats in a row end-line to end-line, so there could be as few as 12 rows, or maybe 140 seats by 15 rows.

No room on the 'south' side (assuming the permanent seats are on the west) but there may be temporary seating on the east side for special games like the playoffs.

Today there was a series of small trenches dug perpendicular to the sideline - would a grandstand need poured concrete footings? They didn't cover very far, 75 feet tops, but it was noon and maybe they weren't done yet.

Unless the law is different in NY, yes, the Grandstands would require concrete footings...as would a raised press box (e.g. attached to the stands). That said, those trenches could be for many different things.
