I was out of town for Saturday's smackdown of the bearscats. I'm planning on going on Wed. night. Anybody planning on tailgating prior to the game?

DP, I haven't been able to go to this game the last 2 years because it conflicted with our championship basketball teams conference tournament. And in the last week we actually saw an aint fan write a letter to the sports section of the TU saying the saints deserve more coverage because they are a lock to be an ncaa team this season and an aint fan suggest on this very board that Albany fans are jealous of a Siena lacrosse team that supposedly is ranked higher than UA.

Well it is time to see if Siena can play a competitive game this season or if we are looking at same old Siena. Will we see a legitimate siena team or the Siena team that has fewer maac tournament wins than UA has NCAA tournament wins, few maac tournament appearances than UA has ncaa tournament appearances and a team that has always lost by at least 5 goals when playing UA.

I'll look for you on Wednesday

Siena fans may want to take a look at this:

Nike/IL Media Poll for Week of 3/31

1. Syracuse

2. Duke

3. Maryland

4. Virginia

5. Georgetown

6. North Carolina

7. Notre Dame

8. Cornell

9. Navy

10. Johns Hopkins

11. Army

12. UMBC

13. Drexel

14. Princeton

15. Bucknell

16. Brown

17. Ohio State

18. Delaware

19. Hofstra

20. Loyola

Others receiving votes: Denver, Albany, Penn, Stony Brook, Canisius, Towson, Providence

I see no Siena...but I see another MAAC team receiving votes

Even if the Coach's poll, I see Siena behind a certain team

1 Syracuse

2 Duke

3 Maryland

4 Virginia

5 Georgetown

6 North Carolina

7 Cornell

8 Notre Dame

9 Navy

10 Drexel

11 Johns Hopkins

12 UMBC

13 Bucknell

14 Army

15 Princeton

16 Brown

17 Delaware

18 Ohio State

19 Denver

20 Hofstra

Others Receiving Votes: Loyola, Albany, Siena, Penn, Stony Brook

We will see tomorrow. I fully expect this team to be at 5-5 heading into UMBC and Syracuse.

Siena fan's letter pays off; Siena's stick men on move on the front page of today's T-U sports. You'd think Wilkin would have soft-pedaled the story after they scored only three goals in a four-overtime loss.

Siena may have been ahead of Albany in some RPI/Power type ranking, but not any more, and their strength of schedule is now 54 compared to Albany's 12 (out of 57 teams).

And now our power rating is going to decrease even after a possibly large margin against them. I really don't know why we schedule them. And I hope we don't have to play on their field next year if the series continues.

Hey back off Siena had some tough games against the Baltimore School for the Blind and the Hopkins wheelchair team. SOS 54 of 57. What a joke.

"Siena's stick man on the move" where the hell are they going? Another shameless whoring of Siena by the Siena rag, instead of covering the local POWER.

I wouldn't expect to find a team that is 0-2 in the weakest conference in America in the rankings.
