Hey, maybe Justin could play baseball for UAlbany as well? As far as basketball goes, with his solid outside shooting skills and good size, he seems like a great fit for us, especially with us losing two of our better all-time three-point shooters at UAlbany.

UAlbany has a lot to offer academically (unless he's looking to study engineering), and I always think Albany is a great "mid-major" metropolitan city, so I hope it works out well for all involved.

Has Coach Brown had a two-sport athlete yet (although the training and hard work is year round for our hoops players, of course)?

Again, this begs the question....where are the scholarships coming from? We are looking at possibly two JUCO's joining this years class.

Justin, should he transfer, would have 3 years of eligibility remaining as this past season was his freshmen season. He would be eligible to play after Jimmy, Brian and Jerel are out of eligibility. Would he be on scholarship the year he has to sit out?

No, pretty sure you don't get a scholarship for the year you sit out when you transfer to another Div. I school.

If he transfers in as a scholarship player then, yes, he counts against the 13 total scholarships allowed.

Assuming what quack is saying is true, we would need someone to transfer out in order to have a scholarship to offer. There have been speculations about one perhaps two players leaving. This should sort itself out over the next week or two.

Not a shocker. Moore's seems like a quality kid, however he will have two years left if he transfers down to DII. Frankly, with Raffa, Ambrose, Martin, Aronholt, Collins, etc....at the guard spots...he wasn't going to see signifcant time.

I wish him the best!

Mark S. blog is reporting Moores is on his way out after speaking with one of his old coaches....Who is the second player you had been hearing about?

Here is the blog entry I rock is referring to. I think most if not all folks that frequent this board suspected that Rob was looking to transfer. I wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors....hopefully there was something of redeemable value for him personally in having spent a year as a Great Dane.

To the best of my knowledge, the possibility of another transfer was talked about but with much less certainty. There might not be another transfer.

I find it interesting that we are in play for him......at times a good judge of a potential recruit is who else is recruiting him. SunBelt was a 15th ranked conference according to RPI and South Alabama was the cream of that conference finishing the season 24-6 with an RPI of 37. They were a 10 seed in the Tourney losing to Butler in the first round.
