Was really fun to watch the new guys. Cremo and Nichols together will be a freak show. There are some athletes here. As click just mentioned they were scoring at will. This won't be a grind it out team. Add some D and they will be exciting.

Anyone have any info on the 4 who sat out? Dallas, Lands, Martin-Garcia, and Cochran. All injured?

Nice seeing Fruscio playing as a walk on.

Pregame warmup dunk show was impressive. Nichols is still amazing at 6'0" (if that)

The new guys really impressed. Campbell, Grayson, and Anderson showed some impressive stuff.

The team looks deeper than recent years (but it is very early obviously)

The only downside of tonight is the fact that it was a tease. Still another month till the season starts :(

Also, was nice to see Travis Charles banging around and healthy. Spoke to him briefly after the game. He seems like a nice dude.

Stire and Rowley both looked huge. I thought they both seemed slow at the start, but then I realized that the pace of the entire team just seemed faster. Those 2 might not be the tallest guys we have had, but I wouldn't want to try to box either of them out. They got big. A couple of nice blocked shots.

Found myself wanting to trash talk the refs on the blown over and back call near the end. Then I remembered it was just a preseason scrimmage.

Lots of new faces - T_U

Dallas Ennema (back, day to day), junior forward Jaraan Lands (hamstring, out at least another week), junior forward Terrel Martin-Garcia (eligibility issues) and sophomore guard Xavier Cochran (hip, out for the season).
Brown said there are no issues with Martin-Garcia's junior college (Missouri State-West Plains). Martin-Garcia is from Calford, England, and Brown said he is waiting on transcripts from the player's high school,

It was definitely the Nichols and Cremo show. I list Nichols first because initially he was the BEST player on the court. But after he started to tire a little and the gym rat unlimited energy Cremo took over. As others mentioned, it is going to be fun to watch these two.

Marquesse Grayson appears to be more than a capable back up @ the point. So fatigue should not generally be an issue for Nichols. Because of injuries etc. everyone played all 34 minutes yesterday after a two hour practice. Not that Cremo needs to worry about fatigue, but if yesterday was any indication, a lot of guys can shout the lights out. [maybe we become the next Hartford and shout 50+ 3's per game, but I doubt if Brown will allow.] As mentioned before Stire and Rowley looked a bit slow, but maybe because everyone else was just playing @ another speed. Stire was impressive around the basket, though and remember no subs available & 2 hour practice before.

If this team plays any D @ all they are going to be scary good.

After yesterday and what I have read/heard, it looks like a starting lineup of:

PG: Nichols

SG: Cremo

SF: Campbell

PF: Stire

PF: Rowley

No true center on the team.

Guards in the rotation: Grayson, and Andrews

Forwards in the rotation: Charles, Ennema, and Lands

That would be 10. The article mentions a 9 man rotation, so I'm not sure who is the odd guy out above...

I was impressed with Costa Anderson and he hit a few 3's in the game. I have heard good things about Garcia but eligibility issues might keep him out. That leaves Cochran (out for the season,) and Fruscio who will be the new Reese.

I don't envy coach Brown having to figure out who gets playing time. Then with only Ennema, Rowley, and Andrews being the only 3 to graduate (the program last night confirms Charles got a redshirt for last year) it looks to be even worse next year with 3 talented Australian freshmen coming in...

Looks to me like it's a great problem to have and the UA basketball dynasty will continue.

If WB makes PT decisions based on who man's up and plays strong D. This team will go very very far.

Go Danes!
