UMBC beat Bing in overtime.

Maine, Bing and Hartford are all 4-11, UMBC 3-12. Saturday we play Hart, Bing at Maine, and UMBC at. New Hampshire to decide the bottom four seeds, UNH and UVM (at Stony Brook) are tied for third at 10-5.

I'm not sure who I'm really even rooting for to win the #3 seed. It's going to be a knife fight with either UVM or UNH if it comes to that.

Monster night for Stire tonight - he put up Warney-type numbers!

Also, Peter Hooley is racing toward 1500 career points. He should get there on Saturday.

I thought tonight was going to be much more difficult. Maybe the team is now hitting its stride.

Just in time, best time to do it. I'd hate to be awesome in mid-season and flame out.

I think I'd rather play UVM.

We handled our business. 2nd seed is ours. See you in the championship, SBU.

Easy - still a ways to go before the championship game

Eh, come on. Who in the bottom half of the conference can beat us? I know I know, march is full of surprises...but I'm only scared of UNH and SBU and we won't face either one till the end of the tournament. I like our chances.

I agree, but be careful with that kind of talk.

Remember the Maine game? And there are only three rounds to the tourney. The second round will most likely be against UVM or UNH, both of which can beat us. An SBU/UA champ game is not a foregone conclusion.

Exactly. While I seem to recall us beating UNH three times last season, I do not recall whether we have ever beaten Vermont three times in one year. I am sure Vermont can attest to the difficulty of attempting to beat us for a third time (in one season) in the AE Tournament.

If Stony Brook beats Vermont this weekend, and UNH wins it's game, UNH gets the #3 seed. If UNH and UVM remain tied after this weekend, then I would assume Vermont gets the #3 seed (having swept UNH this year) and the likely chance to play us in the second round at SEFCU.

What about it? We had to travel up there, on a weird schedule, etc. to play them. AND we played like COMPLETE garbage. We've been MUCH better since that game...as the saying goes, that game might have been the turning point. We're 9-2 since then with nice wins against SB, UVM, complete blowouts of Maine, Hartford and Bing, etc. Average margin of victory in those 9 wins is 18.1 pts.

We're a better team than we were at that point of the season. Comparing a UA team playing its 4th conference game on short rest vs the current (this second) UA team is like apples and oranges IMO.

So be it, if I'm the only one who is willing to say it: we'll be playing on Long Island the last game of the year. If it doesn't happen...well, I'll stand corrected and so be it...but I have a real good feelin bout this.

Honestly, I'm not as scared of UVM as I am of UNH. And if SB takes out UNH in the semifinals, even better (depending on how seeding shakes out). People might not believe this, but as far as the AE tourney goes, I think we're in everyone's heads because we've run the table the last 3 years (last year with an AMAZING team but the two years prior with teams that just got hot at the right time). The pressure, IMO, isn't on us.

So don't mind me, I choose to be confident. We have a real good ballclub.

I agree.....we know we are better then every team in the league...and when we play UA ball we WILL win...we also know S.B. may be the best league team this year, however, we also know we can/will beat them if we play UA ball for 40 min...and we also know, as you stated, we are in S.B. head for sure....they will have to outplay us to beat us....GO DANES!!!!!!!!!!
