FYI - Spring game will be held April 19th at Bob Ford Field at approx. 12:00pm.

Not much else going on on campus that day (Tennis match I think) so lets make it a great turnout!

You should get a good view of the new offense and defensive schemes. From Coach Gattuso's mouth - the offense will be simple but explosive. Spread it out and score a ton of points. Looking back at his Duquesne days, that was his MO then as well.

Ha. Was just thinking about football. Not to steal the thunder on this thread...but have some new 2015 targets that I will put in a different thread. Can't wait for the spring game. Hope they show it on T.V. for those who can't make it.

They should be able to put it up on DaneZone. The more events they broadcast from Bob Ford Field, the better they'll get at them.

Is the spring game an actual game...where the players try...or is it more like the Pro Bowl of a few years ago where Goodell almost cancelled the whole thing because players were walking around? lol. I'm trying to decide whether to attend or not.

More like a controlled scrimmage. It's offense vs. defense, with D getting points for forcing punts, turnovers, etc.

After all, the players are trying to impress the coaches where there's competition for positions, especially with a mostly new staff this year. They just have to be careful not to injure the QB (as happened once more than ten years ago).

But if the weather's good it's a good excuse to soak up some sun.

Who knows how the new coach will format it. It may be a more "normal" format this year.

It will be a controlled scrimmage. Similar to years past.
