  1. Chancellor King is a clown. Tuition is going up up up and student services are going down down down. I can't work out at the RACC when I would like to; our facilities are sub-par compared to everywhere else I've visited ... what exactly is my $600 going toward? Sabbaticals?
  2. They only lost to UVM on the road by a point, and I'm not sure we're at that point yet ... so I'm going to say that we lose this one on the road, by four, but that we rebound for the victory in Albany later in the season.
  3. It's really too bad the Siena women cancelled the game vs. the Dane Ladies ... or UAlbany could have been two for 2.
  4. Here is another site. i dont wnat the owner of this site to get into trouble: http://www.nolo.com/lawcenter/ency/article...5897F115FEEB097
  5. thats untrue. you cant copy and paste an entire copyrighted work, even if you cite the author and quotation mark it. you can only use a limited portion of the article, and you have to secure permission from the author even for that. http://fairuse.stanford.edu/Copyright_and_...ter6/index.html
  6. actually since its a pay-service article, you cant copy it even with quotation marks. its copyrighted and you need to get permission to copy it regardless of citation. if you could link to it, you can quote a portion (not all) of the article, but since it's a pay service and you cant even link to it, you can't put any of it at all. technically. i just looked it up to make sure. we learned this in a research class that i took, since the internet is being used as a source so often now
  7. in case you havnt noticed, the nhl is basically dead. interest in hockey is very limited to a certain audience. I would rather have scholarship football than hockey. better use of the money.
  8. thanks for the info that other people pay 3.95 orwhatever a month to read on espn.com ... most message bords dont let you post stuff like that if it wasnt free on another site. one question: why is everything centered on this site? it makes it hard to read a long post like that. is that an optin I can turn off??
  9. obvious oversight? how is the ncaa supposed to keep up with 300 d-I schools plus d-II and d-III? if you look at the bottom of some of the stories they say "coutesy of xxx" and the school's name. So it's possible they didn't get a story from Albany? or Albany (NY)? why don't you just contact the ncaa and send them the danes' story...
  10. i started to ask myself this question, but i soon realized taht since the students dont go to regular games that mean anything, they definitely wouldn't go to some scrimmage or shoot around. i asked my brother who graduated a few years back and he said a few years ago they did something, not a midnight, with player introductions and a scrimmage. i wasn't around for that. but no one went according to my bro. i really wouldnt have gone. i just got in from a night of drinking. and i'm sure most other students were too.
  11. how is that the fault of the school? that web site clearly doesn't represent albany. they don't even have all the schools in albany listed. st. rose isn't listed either, or rpi. who the hell goes to that site? i wouldn't care if i wasn't listed there either. if you need to draw fans from a convention center web site, you've got bigger problems totake care of.
  12. check the winter forum, there is a discussion about the sked and everyone talked about it over ther
  13. Just as long as they're not asking me or any other current students to foot the bill, sounds fine to me. Yet another promise that was broken to the current generation. At least someone will eventually get a new gym. My tour guide told me that it was no problem to get on a court at SUNY, but i havent balled in months.
  14. better start planning on walking to the basketball games if they're going to put it in the parkin lot. Stop by my room. we'll top one off and walk over together. plan sounds good. sounds a lot like what i've heard before. my brother went hee before me, and he heard the same crap. like 84 said, i want to know what ill see while im here.
