It is hard to say how the NCAA is weighing RPI versus the other factors. If the Danes take care of business tomorrow I imagine it would be unprecedented for the #6 RPI team to not host a first round game.

The RPI gets better if Yale and UMass can win out as well,

Bracketology: The Repercussions of Big East Chaos

A thought worth pondering about Albany: The NCAA’s RPI archive includes a Selection Sunday sheet for every year since 2009. Every team with a top-six RPI in that span has earned a first-round home game. The Great Danes sit at No. 6 entering Saturday’s America East finale against Binghamton, and while the top of their resume is skimpy, their strength of schedule isn’tthat much of a minus.

Speaking of the "bubble." At 8-6 and only 3-3 in their conference [not even getting out of the first round], & with one of those wins against lowly Michigan; may be hopkins should be sweating the bubble. but TRADITION?

Of course it is. From the Bracketology article just quoted: " … Johns Hopkins’ victory at North Carolina back in February could turn out to be the difference between home game and road trip in the first weekend of the tournament.

Arguably, we have a better team than the 14/15 season....

we went 10/28 on the faceoff in the loss to ND in the ncaa quarterfinal.

In the 13/14 quarterfinal loss vs ND , we went 10/31 at the faceoff.

We had a 12-6 record that season.

Yale is tied 5-5 vs Penn now on espnu.

almost the end of the 1st quarter and this has been a clinic of all around play by UA. Beautiful. I have watched as many games as I can this year. I truly believe this could be the best UA squad ever. Complete almost all-around. You replay the Syracuse game to start the season, I think they beat them (why I would like to see Marr move that game out of the first game of the season).

Can't really ask for anything more in that half. Maybe played ehhh for 5 minutes in the 2 quarters combined (and that wasn't even over a long 5 minute stretch).

By the way, they way Q is talking during this game, UA is going to get utterly screwed with a seed.

Quint has always been a downer against Albany.

Anyway he looks at it, Albany doesn't deserve a home game.

Carcaterra says with this win, we should host a home game.

Either way, the quest for a national championship moves onward.

One game at a time.
