Last Up: W (78-68) vs Kent State

Next Up: vs Hartford (7-7, have won 4 of their last 5 including a big win against former SBU coach Pikiell and his new team Rutgers 60-58...another notable win against Miami (OH) who is 7-5 in the MAC)
TV/Streaming: ESPN3
Local Radio: 104.5 FM
Team finished 2017 strong with a good showing against our 2nd toughest opponent (per Coach Brown, Louisville being the first). Team has show grit at times this season and has a lot of 'team' wins when our two best players are in slumps (seems to be an issue the last 4-5 games for David and Joe who've been shooting pretty poorly going most games like 5-12, etc.).
Let's start the AE season off with a New Years Bang!
I think Alex Foster is going to be a HUGE force down low against AE competition. He's been probably my favorite player so far this year...he and Charles should, to quote the youngins, 'eat' against AE competition.

It's been an amazing ride so far. Yes our OOC ended up being less than advertised on paper in the preseason, but 12-3 is 12-3. We were competitive against all teams, even our losses. Can't ask for more than that during OOC which is meant to ready you for conference play. WE READY.

EDIT: Crazy thing is...we honestly could be 15-0. Like, we had legit chances in all three losses to win those games. Can you imagine that? Imagine we go 14-1 in conference (splitting UVM) or even 15-0? A 29 or 30 win season? WOWZA. We were so close...

Coach on Rodger today. Said Hart is playing more methodical, throwing the ball inside to Carroll and the 610 kid Attia. Doesnt like to talk much about other teams, so wont use the aints two losses this week to say anybody can beat anybody. Has found Foster plays better as he plays more, will get most of the sub minutes up front. Ahmad is playing better than Costa. Knows he has to watch the minutes Cremo plays.

Hartford has been wacky this year. They've lost to some really bad teams - LIU Brooklyn (twice) and Bryant but have some decent wins over Miami (OH) and Rutgers.

I remember the Attia kid. He's a big guy to move out of the middle - 6'10 and 270. If he could hit free throws he'd be averaging double figures but he's shooting 42% from the line which is actually an improvement from last season.

Hartford still launching 3's at a crazy clip 35.5 per game but not hitting many. Defend the 3 and rebound and they will fold.

EDIT: Misread the numbers...35.5% of their points comes from 3's not attempts.

Wasn't Attia the player who tried to be excessively aggressive against UA in some game in recent years?

Yes. I was at the game last year at UA with my son and daughter. My son said he really didn't like that guy who was being mean to UA players.
