  1. Was in the gym the other day and saw some pick-up. The Gifford kid is huge. He was scoring on the block. Don't think he's a great athlete but he can score. I was impressed.
  2. Lou Gossett Jr. ???? This is going to be very fun to follow! They won't release the kid but he can keep his scholarship and attend Siena but can't play on the team. LOL! Gotta love it. Gottal love it. My heart goes out to the Saints fans. Nah! Ha! Ha! Ha! How could Kojo leave such an established program that is rich in tradition and plays in Albanys version of Madison Square Garden? I sense Lanier tampering! LOL! Ha! Ha! Ha! SUCKS TO BE A SAINTS FAN! REALLY SUCKS TO BE A SAINTS FAN! OH HOW IT SUCKS TO BE A SAINTS FAN!
  3. i have to believe James will prep just like howard little. We are going to be good for a long time.
  4. Siena 73 is a clueless moron! Bucknell returns 3 starters and 6th man Donald Brown. Their best player returns in 6'11 Chris McNaughton. He is as good as any mid major big man in the country. He can play in any league in the country. The guards at Bucknell have enjoyed so much success because of McNaughton getting double teamed. If Siena scheduled Bucknell it would be the game of the century and Bucknell would be loaded. Go play NJIT twice. Maybe without Kojo it will be two good games! LOL!
  5. Boisy, Check the facts before you comment. Paul Williams is only a junior as far as basketball is concerned. He will return.
  6. MTS (Moron Tony Siena???) Lets be realistic. Maryland made the NIT this past year and lost their 2 best players in Caner Medley and McCray. Stanford baredly made the NIT at 15-13 and lose their three leading scorers. Maryland will be lucky to have an overall winning record and will be at the bottom of the ACC and Stanford might be the worst team in the PAC 10 next year. A few years ago Maryland and Stanford might look good on a schedule. Playing UMASS now at the Pepsi is a more attractive game then playing Stanford at the Pepsi. Siena fans are great. Tony is a die hard Hoop Scooper. UAlbany has a much higher ranked class than Siena based on the fact that all but one of Albanys kids are rated a 3. They smoke some serious crap on that board!
  7. Alum72, C'mon, don't be that naive. Who wants to play at the TUC on Sienas court. Keep games in the RACC. Remember, the TUC is contracted with Siena. Let them play in a 15,000 seat arena with 4,000 people in it.
  8. With UAlbany's recent success it would be difficult to get good teams to come play them. The TUC is Sienas home court. Same court they get 4,000 fans for a home game that seats 15,000.
  9. Yes, Siena beat Albany this past season in OT. Not even going to get in to why. They upset the Danes. Now 1. Albany won the AE. Siena didn't win the POWERFUL MAAC??? 2. Albany won the AE Tourney. Siena beat at home in the 1st Round by a team with one player! 3. Albany RPI average the past 2 years higher. Higher each of the past 2 years. 4. Tony's famous HoopScoop rankings has Albany's recruiting class ranked much higher than Siena. 2.8 avg recruit to a 2.3. That includes the Oh Mighty Edwin Ubiles! 5. Coach McCaffrey did a nice job, but Coach Brown had his team dancing! 6. The Pepsi had 11,000 empty seats every night, the RACC was mostly full, especially when school was in session. 7. Siena fans blasting Albany about scheduling, Who had a higher RPI the past 2 years? That has to do with winning games and scheduling! 8. Most of killed Siena fans to see Albany parading around with the Governor and the Mayor, and the STate Assembly. How about that brain dead Misspractice stating that Coach Brown is negative and the staff at Siena is so experienced. BTW, Brown took the Danes to the NCAA's and two assistants Coach Eaton and Coach Filien have now been to 4 NCAA Tournaments each. Filien went to 4 in a row. Gotcha again! Enjoy the Siena Invitational! And, in regard to scheduling. You have the nerve to get after us Albany fans when you are playing Dartmouth and NJIT twice? Is NJIT a club team?
  10. Check out this site pantherrants.blogspot.com Mentions Coach Brown and the Associate Head Job at Pitt? Anybody else hear this rumor? Has Brown signed his contract? How much would this job pay him? Would it be easier for him to take the Pitt job and then get a high level D1 job or stay at Albany and move to a high level D1 job from Albany?
  11. Megowen 70 should go play on the Siena Board. Kid's are kid's and I am sure it was meant to be shock the world! Go start trouble on some other board! We don't need you here!
  12. I am sure it meant "Shock the World"! Along the "Why Not Us" theme!
  13. Saw Coach Browns name mentioned on the MAAC Board as possible candidate at Manhattan. Wonder if it is true? Manhattan is a great job! Several coaches in recent years have moved to the Big Time from Manhattan. Would it be a lateral move based on the NCAA success this year?
  14. Don't be surprised if Brown leaves! Don't be surprised!
