Albany Game Notes

 

The Colgate two-deep says that QB Jake Melville, who got a concussion (called an "upper body injury") on the last play of the Princeton game and missed Yale, will still be out. Freshman Bret Mooney will start his second straight game.

For his first start, Mooney played pretty well at Yale. Hopefully his second outing isn't such a good showing.

Forecast looking better for tomorrow - 60s. The 3:30 PM start times are good for September and October but as we get into November I'd like to see them go to the 1 PM starts again.

Note: Colgate hasn't been the "Red" Raiders for over ten years, and their color is Maroon anyway.

 

I'm OK with the 3:30 start time now that Daylight Savings Time into November. 1:00 is fine at the end of the season except that tailgating has to start too early.

I want this win...almost don't care about anything else this season (considering tough schedule rest of the way)...I want this! .500 at worst season would make very very gitty about the future (even thought this season has already made me gitty)

I don't mind it for myself. I just envision the casual fans leaving at halftime when it starts getting colder.

 

Of course, this could be a ploy to sell more warm Danes merchandise and hot chocolate at the game.

He's not great...he looked bad at times during the game...but Fiacchi just BOSSED that field on that drive. Probably one of the best of his career.
