  1. I know this is not a 2015 Recruiting question, but there was a 2013 recruit that redshirted last year. His name is Kalief Joyner. Being from Brooklyn myself, I followed him during his senior year at Christ the King HS and then his PG year at Cheshire Academy in CT. He was highly recruited by UConn, Rutgers, Syracuse, Bowling Green and UAlbany of course. He was highly rated on http://247sports.com/Player/Kalief-Joyner-10964 and rated 2 stars on http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/recruiting/player-Kalief-Joyner-137951 He is a great TE. He's listed on the roster as a TE, but I don't see him on the depth chart. I hope he's being developed because this kid is a beast. Does anyone know anything about this kid?
  2. Some new Spring Practice videos were posted http://www.ualbanysports.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_LANG=C&ATCLID=209460113&DB_OEM_ID=15800
  3. The first spring practice took place this morning. I attended last year and both defense and offense went hard.
  4. Will there be an autograph session? I've attended a few schools' spring games and they have their players signing autographs after the spring game. Usually, the kids enjoy this and it's fun for the players.
  5. I understand that Malachi Hoskins DE/WR (6'2, 200 lbs) committed this week. He's a PG from Loomis Chaffee (Prep School in CT) Here are his highlights: http://www.hudl.com/athlete/3265824/malachi-hoskins# If you look at his twitter account Kalief Joyner a redshirted TE who we also got from a prep school in CT. via Brooklyn/Oueens in the 2013 class congratulates him on his decision. Malachi may originally be from Queens, NY Malachi Hoskins‏@MalachiH7Jan 27 Officially committing to the University of Albany!!! It was a tough decision but now it's over. #greatdanes #purplefamily Expand Collapse Reply RetweetRetweeted Delete FavoriteFavorited More Embed Tweet 8 Retweets 38 Favorites 3:12 PM - 27 Jan 2014 · Details
  6. Agreed...well said. There is a human component to this and as excited as we are today things drastically changed for some who have helped us get where we are today. Best of luck to the staff who are moving on. I agree....I was on the the football site yesterday and took the time to read every coach's profile. Today, all their profiles are gone. I must admit I was sadden, but I truly wish them the best. Great guys!!!
  7. Well...of course no one is Coach Ford. I really hope UA is serious about football and its facilities. I'm excited about developing these redshirted players and the 2014 incoming class is important as well.
  8. At 54, K.C. Keeler still has a lot of football in him, but would he be the right fit to fill Coach Ford's shoes?
  9. Quick question for all--how will a new head coach and coaching staff affect current scholarship players, if at all?
  10. I believe the Rshirted kids are fired up. I follow a few on Twitter and they are not happy over the losses, so hopefully this season will be the fire they need under their a**es!!
