  1. Actually Todd had 12 full ride offers, with 10 for the early signing period. Some of the Schools included were: Arkansas Little Rock Georgia Southern* Northern Illinois Minnesota Long Beach State* Cal State Fullerton Penn State UC Riverside* Nicholls State Pacific Troy* *Took recruiting visits Believe it or not, Sometimes players are handculffed. Todd went to the Mullens Camp (Tulsa OK.) over the summer and tore them up. Playing agains the best Juco players in the Nation, Todd averaged 24 points, 11.5 Rebounds and 3 asst over the 5 games. Shot over 40% from 3pt. After that Todd had 5 coaches per day coming to Chaffey college for privite workouts durring the open period. He took several visits and decided on Troy for there high powerd offense. Troy was second in the Nation last year in offense behind U Arizona. First in the nation in 3pointers. Won there conference 3 straight years and 4 out of the last 5. Troy was in the NIT last year and the NCCA tournament in 2001. Troy will move up in class to the Sun Belt Conference next year. Todd will play his natural position @ Troy, Small Forward. Good Luck to all my friends still in the Albany area. Paul Martin Todd's Father
  2. Just a note on the NBA draft. Zoellner has better post moves and is more ready to play in the NBA then those so called "Big Men" that were drafted out of High School.
  3. It's nice to here some positive things about Todd. I for one can attest he gave 110% everyday, and he never missed one practice. Todd has several options, he has already been offered (after his red shirt year) by one big sky conference school, and one big west conference school. Both are D-1 but had a sub 500% season. If he goes there he would sign in the early signing period in November for the '05/'06 season. However, I think he wants more options. If he plays over the summer in several show case events, or sends out more game film, he very well might have more opportunities. Then the decision will be to play in the fall with a JC or sit out the season therefore having 3 years of eligibilty back at the D-1 level. The hardest thing for him will be to sit out the red shirt year. Good Luck Todd.
  4. In that case we should go after another 5-spot. We Need big big, big. If JD works out at the 4 spot and KZ is the 5...one more off the bench couldn't hurt? Although CW played very strong this year. If they were to give a come back player of the year I would pick him.
  5. Yea, no one is talking. But here is the facts. Hughes is gone and has been gone since before the end of the season. Repeat ...SINCE before the end of the season. IS gone and has been gone...period. And several posters have know for a long time, funny how they haven't said a word?????
  6. Rebounding wins games......interesting numbers from ESPN.COM REBOUNDS PER MINUTES PLAYED-UALBANY PLAYERS TOTAL REBOUNDS PER MIN PLAYED: is read by- 1reb per every <min> MARTIN 4.78 x WYATT 4.96 ST HILL 5.03 LEVINE 5.78 KNOTTS 8.36 JOHNSON 10.16 DEFENSIVE REBOUNDS PER MIN PLAYED. ST HILL 7.29 MARTIN 7.33 x LEVINE 7.73 WYATT 9.45 KNOTTS 13.14 JOHNSO 13.59 OFFENSIVE REBOUNDS PER MIN PLAYED: WYATT 10.46 MARTIN 13.75 x ST HILL 16.26 LEVINE 22.86 KNOTTS 23.00 AVG.MINS PLAYED PER PLAYER: IATI 39 LEVINE 37 ST HILL 30 JOHNSON 26 WYATT 21 KNOTTS 19 PIP 18 MARTIN 15 X CHEESE 2 Hey PATCH, Very intersting don't you think? Well, Either way, am i the only one missing this?? Lord knows we have more coaches suited up than we do players.....
  7. I liked the way Martin played against Boston U. 26 mins , had a team high 8 rebounds and a team high 4 assists. 3-6 from the field and only 1 turnover. A freshman under control....wow.... I am not an expert, however I do know that it must be hard to get into a rythem when u play anywhere between 8+ mins to 11mins, as the case of the last 4 games. Can't do much in only a few mins a game. U Can do a lot more in 26mins as the case of the BU game. PS-didn't look weak pulling down a team high 5 defenseive rebounds and team high on the offensive side also . Wonder what he could do in 35+mins like a few of the other guys that are not rebounding? Didn't he pull down a team high against Siena also. Must of played some mins that game also.
  8. Hey Professor.... Maybe I am missing something, but I like Martin's game. He is only a freshman and playing out of position at the guard spot. Look at things this way. From what I have seen he is trying to play the team format. 1) Not going one on one and taking everyone out of the offense. I like that in a player, esp a freshman. 2) When I judge value, I look at proformance. POINTS per shot....on the ESPN page. Let's look at this together. UABANY TEAM POINTS PER SHOT/STARTING PLAYERS 1) lEVI 1.15 2) MARTIN 1.09 3) iATI 1.07 4) Q.. 1.05 3-PT %...... 1) IATI 42% 2) MARTIN 38% 3) LEVI 29% FG%...... 1) MARTIN 40.9% 2) LEVI 40.0% 3) IATI 35.6% THE ONLY PROBLEM I SEE IS THIS BOY NEEDS TO SHOOT MORE. AVERGING ONLY 4 TO 5 SHOTS PER GAME? HECK, KNOTTS HAS TAKEN MORE SHOTS. COACH BROWN SHOULD MAYBE USE HIM FOR A THIRD OPTION. BECAUSE EVERYONE WILL BE GUARDING IATI AND LEVI...LIKE THE ARMY GAME. SHOOT MORE ..... OH YEA, AVG ONLY 22 MINS AS A FRESHMAN...HUMMMM????? BUT I COULD BE WRONG.....ON EVERYTHING,....... BUT NUMBERS DON'T LIE.
  9. You are right, no one seems to care much. They should, a very....very young team right now. Down only by 5 at half to pitt, down by what ?? just a few point in each game at half time, so far this year. Yea I know, it's a whole game not just a half. But that's my point. Young teams react this way. The fact is that even in the blow out games, they were always close at the half . Great things to come...
