Wait. NJIT, the team we DESTROYED until letting up, beat #17 Michigan. As in, UM Wolverines Michigan? Tim Hardaway Jr.'s alma mater Michigan? The Michigan that produced the Fab Five? IN Michigan?

HOW. ON. EARTH?

That's even more impressive than UAlbany getting close to beating UConn or playing tough against Florida. That's a far bigger win than us beating Washington a few years ago.

in the new Poll, NJIT still got 2 points. They are a mediocre team that got hot at the right time vs a major program that took them lightly.

Looking ahead, the next match against Yale will be a tough one. They are currently #15 in mid-major poll with 336 points. For comparison sake Holy Cross got 6 points. This will be a real test. I guess we will see if the team that beat Siena shows up, or the team that lost to SFU makes an appearance...

great win for NJIT program but Michigan barely beat CUSE and then proceeded to lose to Eastern Michigan after NJIT and then got housed by 27 against AZ so while they are 6-4...not very impressive..

And, Cuse beat Holy Cross by 24. I saw that Holy Cross team in person. I wouldn't totally discount Michigan.

Still...records aside, you have to remember that Michigan has top flight athletes while NJIT and the likes of us don't...so for a team like that to beat them..even if they are having a down year, is still impressive. That's always our issue in the Dance...we just run out of steam because the UConn's and Florida's of the world are deeper, more athletic, bigger than us.
