Family had a great time at the game! Randomly ran into a member of the board chatting on the will call line. Nice to meet another fanatic B9! My daughter has two Damian heads tattooed on her face and was loving it! My son screamed at every UVM foul shot and when they missed, which they did a lot, he said, "That was all me Dad!"

Great time! Great game and glad they won. Sam was awesome!

And look who's back! Hooley with 32 pts last two games! Love it.

DRG nice meeting u as well, glad your family had a great time, hope your kids enjoyed the pool.

Me and my little guy (now nine months old) enjoyed the game. Attendance was great and it was nice to see Rowley play at least one more time at Sefcu. If we play UVM or SBU we must win the battle of the boards. UVM got way to many offensive rebounds especially off of FT. Aside from that 15-1 is an amazing regular season. Now let's win three more home games.

Vermont had 18 offensive rebounds for the game. 18. How did that even happen?

Lots of over the backs, that's how it happened. The reffing was ATROCIOUS. There was one play, Click will confirm, where a VT guy literally JUMPED OVER our guy to get a board. I mean, COME ON. I'm still mad about the reffing.

It's a good thing those ignoramuses don't have numbers or I'd probably get thrown out of the arena. The one ref named Robert Adams, today, one of the worst...followed by that old short guy with REALLY white hair who occasionally does games here. Gotta be my pick for top 2...whenever I see them, I have the same reaction as when I see Joey Crawford doing an NBA game:

While checking Pomeroy rankings I came across a referee analysis he did in December. Amazingly Adams and Hughes call less than one foul per game more than average. Paul Faia, another name I recognize around the league, calls more than two fewer than average. Jim Burr of Clifton Park, who has done many NCAA championship games, is almost exactly average (-0.11).

Ted Valentine hates to call fouls

"There’s nothing treated less objectively in college hoops than the analysis of officiating. Even the most measured individuals will claim that [conference your team is in] has the worst officials in the country. And it’s a well-known fact that [team you root for] always gets screwed on the big calls. And then you get Lute Olson, who at one point in his career advocated imprisoning referees that missed a call."

I definitely understand the 'home team screwed' notion...but come on. Many of us (not just here in Albany but fans around the country), while not officials, have been watching basketball for decades (me personally, even though I'm only 27, for 15 years)...we know a bad call when we see one. That's why there are 'make up calls' during games (there were 3-4 yesterday) because us fans called the ref out on his mistake and he agreed. Either that, or it was just ANOTHER bad call lol.

Vermont fouls every possession with grabbing, riding and pushing...it's up to the officials to make the calls....its almost impossible to not play their style...if you try to finesse them, which is what I bet Stony Brook tries, you will get beat...we finally played their way and proved we have much better options than their big 3 of O'day and the two guards...VT. lefty point guard is awful and we should be taking the ball from him as often as possible...
