Is this team the first half team or second half team...? Can't figure it out. Someone is going to smack them down to reality soon... Hopefully not Saturday.

Grumble. Stop stealing my lines. You're dead to me...

:D

DEAD.

Yeah lots of lazy passes, not coming to the ball, etc. We have like 5 turn overs just on those.

Brown needs to let into them at the half. Or maybe they are conserving energy for Saturday lol.

Turnovers resulting from our passive perimeter passing has plagued us this year. Can't happen come conference play.

It's not like the lazy perimeter pass is a new thing. That and poor press breaking are the negative hallmarks of w WB team. It's comical how poorly we handle pressure in a press or on the perimeter in a set piece.

I thought I'd be more happy with the 9-1 start, but seeing we have one of the worst non conference SOS in the country (342) I don't know what to think. The America East conference is just awful except for Albany and Vermont.

I keep seeing this mentioned (especially while lurking over in Loudonv, err, Loserville). I don't know how SOS is calculated (is it just everyone's opponents winning percentage in order this year as it currently sits or using last year?) but, for example, Siena's foes THIS year won 56% of their games last year. UAlbany's foes THIS year won 52% of their games last year (didn't include Oneonta). Brown can only assume so much...how is he too know if a teams success last year will carry over into this year or not? It's not like there is a 20% difference between the two in my example. Both Brown and Jimmy Technical picked 9 OOC games against teams that had a winning record last year. Out of what, a possible 15 OOC games? The schedule is fine.

Furthermore, we play a bunch of the same teams this year (even in our OOC schedule), so LCC fans crying about "Albany's easy schedule" will be doubly hilarious when they lose to said same teams by worse margins or in general (and we beat said teams...like Iona).

We had a real shot at going 10-0 but we blew the Monmouth game (a team that went 27-7 last year!).

Maybe I'm just crazy...but people complaining about RPI, SOS, ABC, DEF, fans in seats in relation between two fan bases as opposed to general statements about lack of support...it's all just trying to one up each other to find anything to be happy about...usually by fans of teams who's actual basketball product stinks (example: LCC).

Just play the games and win the games we're supposed to win (most of them). We're doing that just fine. I'm VERY happy with the season so far even if our defense is still not up to snuff. Come March we'll be fine.

I don't think it's really complaining. It was a solid schedule on paper preseason, but got a little bit unlucky with the way our opponents have been playing. The Memphis and Kent State games should tell us where we stack up.

Drawing barely over 2k when your team is 8-1 is a bit of a concern to me especially when I see people wanting a 6k seat SEFCU renovation. Better off finding a pay game on the road. We'd probably make more money off that than the gate yesterday against a bottom feeder NEC team.

In the end 9-1 is fantastic.

I'd bet everybody in Great Dane land would be moaning about a 4-5 record.

We are winning. Nice place to sit right now.

$iena sucks donkey balls. They are last decade's news. An unwanted step child of collegiate sports.

When the time comes, we have a higher gear to use. IT happens all the time in college b-ball.

Players from superior teams seem to think that 75 percent effort will easily get them a win.

Games usually end up closer than they should have ended.

Just don't want to get bit in the $iena by a bottom-dweller along the way, because of an energy/intensity issue.

One way to improve the schedule is take care of business Saturday and then drop LCC in the future.

Other sports already have done that with LCC recently .

Just to clarify, that wasn't directed at your post in any way...just a general vent lol.

And I agree...my reasons for a renovation are more to do with accommodations/perks than actual number of seats. Because I'm lazy and want to be treated like a king in my 3rd row seat lol. But I'm also a fan of future proofing...so if we do renovate, might as well add some seats, etc.

9-1 is amazing. Can you imagine sitting at 10-0 though? Dang Monmouth.
