Maryland lacrosse the biggest name program next to Siena to play at Albany????

Seriously? In what world is Siena a big name?

Princeton, UMass and Denver for starters, along with just about everyone else who ever played here.

Meant to put Siena basketball. It was a joke

Either way I think Maryland lacrosse is the biggest name program in any sport to step foot on the Albany campus.

Hard to compare sports but soccer defeated then #3 ranked Syracuse this seadon at home. Lacrosse has defeated some ranked teams at home. I don't remember who was highest. Field hockey also has beaten some ranked teams at home. Also don't know the highest there either. Obviously joke unranked lcc doesn't compare to most teams visiting in any sport. However they are fun to beat as long as their fans keep the misguided impression that lcc is above the AE not to mention above their own lowly maac

From what I can gather it looks like the schedule is the same ooc teams as last year just switching the venue (other than Cuse who hasn't confirmed their schedule):

2/25 @ Drexel

3/4 @ Cornell

3/11 vs. UMass?

3/11 vs. Maryland?

3/29 @ Harvard

4/22 vs. Yale

Both the Maryland and UMass sites show their game against Albany on 3/11 so not sure who has that one wrong at this point.

I hope this is a two year home & home contract. cuse needs to realize the drive Albany to Syracuse =s the drive Syracuse to Albany; & Casey can easily handle the 6 to 7000 which this game annually draws. For @ least the last six years our end of season rank has been comparable & even higher @ times to cuse. And post season wise we have been as successful & sometimes more so.

The ability to play inside early in the year is really the only draw back; but this also means they are more prepared than we are early on. Actually, it might be fun playing them in the cold & snow in February.

We have become a program that challenges Cuse for a win year in and year out.

We should play as many Cuses, Marylands, NCs as possible each year. Keep the Cuse game

whenever and wherever it is played.

With that said, they should visit Albany once in a while now. We've clearly earned the right.
