NCAA quarterfinal Danes versus Maryland

Recommended Posts

I will be coaching my son's baseball game from around 2-5pm, including warmups and post game cleanup of I would be going. I am shutting off my phone and setting my DVR. Going to be hard not to check anything throughout or fastforward druing the game.

I'll text you with updates during the game :D

A couple buddies told me they are going to blow up my phone. That is why I have to totally shut it off!

During the bryant / maryland game... the terrapinheads thought they had a large enough lead,

[kind of like we thought] that their teaaraton finalist was over on the sidelines signing autographs

half way through the 4th quarter.

That lasted until they realized bryant was mounting a big comeback.

Not sure I appreciate an athlete disengaged in their game like that.

We've won a couple of 1st round matchups in the 1st round of the ncaas....

but haven't won a quarter final yet. This is the chance for the program to surpass

even what the Thompson era produced. Too bad we didn't have the faceoff specialist we

needed back then.

The UA / maryland game probably should have been the championship game, but of course,

another selection committee laid an egg in their bracketing efforts. Kind of knew they would, with

how their preliminary rankings/brackets looked. They need to flush out that selection committee,

and replace all of them.

We are as good as anyone in the country. We approach each game, one game at a time....

we might be surprised with our ultimate success.

Go Danes.

Surprising that the MD coach would allow that, too. Pretty disrespectful to your opponent.

Anyone hearing scuttlebutt about how Marr is preparing? I hope they're using the UNC 3rd quarter as a serious motivator.

This team is deeper and overall more athletic then the team that lost to Notre Dame when they put a choke hold on the Danes with the 10 man ride.

It wasn't me trying to clear the ball Saturday night, thank goodness, but in that stretch where UNC came back it looked like to me when JD was making stops he was holding the ball more which allowed UNC to get into their 10 man ride. Now I am sure the conditions had something to do with that as well.

I sure hope the coaches are working on that, wing play, and our slides. I thought in the first game we created offense for Maryland, and the same on Saturday when we slid away from Cloutier and gave him wide open looks.
