Recruiting - 2015

Watched Cremo's Scotia team again the other night. It's fun having a local player commit early and have a chance to watch him even if the games aren't close after the first 10 minutes. He's really a savvy and unselfish player.

He made three plays the other night that impressed me and he didn't score on any of them:

-On a fast break I thought he was going to posterize one of the SGF guards. Instead he drove right at him and then made a nice dish for an uncontested layup.

-A similar play where he didn't have the ball. He sealed his man out from the hoop for another easy layup for a teammate. There's no stat for that, it's just a winning play.

-When Scotia got up about 25 points they started getting a little ragged, taking some quick shots, etc. Cremo huddled up his team during some free throws and lit a fire. They came out and hit the gas, went on a run and it was a 40 point lead at halftime.

Unreal game tonight in the Section II Title game - Scotia vs. Troy. #1 in the state vs. #3 in the state goes to double overtime. Scotia had multiple chances to put it away in regulation and overtime before finally getting the win despite Dyaire Holt and Radz's heroics. Cremo was named tournament MVP.

Cremo and Scotia move on to the state semi-finals after crushing Bishop Ludden in the semi-finals. Thought this might be a tougher game than it ended up being. Ludden's PG Ben Hackett is going to the ACC next year and his teammate, Dan Kaigler is maybe a MAAC recruit. Thought Cremo might have had a double-double yesterday but couldn't find rebounding stats. He ended up with 17 points.
