  1. Watched about 45 min of the game. Poff got the second go at QB. Had one nice throw and the rest of the time was ehhh. I think he has zero chance of starting this year unless there’s a bunch of injuries. Cam Ward is light years better and their #2 from last year looks pretty good too.
  2. You’d have to assume it’s only D1 for that to be true, but I think it’s for all divisions, no? I Could be wrong on that.
  3. In my case, I’m a life long area resident and UA grad. I rooted for local teams. When at UA I joined the chorus and the team in green was a hated rival. But I never developed the lingering hatred and loathing many of you have. As the product of a mixed marriage (father a Yankee fan and mother’s family from eastern Mass) I became a Yankees fan, but never developed the hatred of all things Red Sox. And I was happy when they won the WS. Now NFL is another thing entirely. As a passionate Giants fan from early childhood, my heart burns with a hatred of anything Dallas, Philly and Washington. My wife tells me that this is unhealthy. Probably. When Union or RPI are doing well in hockey or football I’ll root for them too.
  4. I wish him luck and nothing but the best. It’s so much more fun when both area teams are doing well and the rivalry prospers. And quite honestly, before UA went D1 I’d always root for $iena to do well, despite the ancient rivalry! now…..how about turning around the train wreck at Broadview?
  5. Graveyard humor over the death of any vestige of the notion of amateur athletics and the tradition of student athlete and collegiate loyalty? The new normal is a me first free for all money grab that quite frankly stinks to high heaven and is causing some among us to reassess our willingness to support with our money something we’ve come to abhor. Or maybe we’re just a bunch of juveniles that like to shoot the 💩
  6. I think if it was MBB they’d have a fit. He’s a fairly logical choice for WBB in my mind…so perhaps it will happen. I doubt they’d get all weepy if he produces a winner.
  7. Roger says it’s official so we will see…..GMAC at SC. Singleais says not so fast. We will wait.
  8. I don’t think there is any going back. Pandora’s box has been opened.
  9. Thanks. I saw she only put in ten minutes which certainly couldn’t have helped their cause. That’s too bad. She has been a great player and I’m going to miss her.
  10. It must be a major letdown to work all that time to reach a single goal…AE Championship and NCAA berth…and then after failing to achieve it, essentially be offered a consolation prize of sorts. And in this case a consolation prize of a consolation prize. A third tier tournament. So I don’t fault them if they just wanted to pack it in and move on with school and life.
