Ladies don't draw enough to warrant separate games at separate sites. They can fit the entirety of all the fans that will attend over the weekend in such an arena 2-3x. Each men's game is 2000+...some more. It makes perfect sense from a business stand point and I totally understand why they do that for the men. Sucks for *some* fans but as a percentage most fans are local.

there wasn't 2k+ in SEFCU the other night
Most people think there was...many of us disagreed with the attendance number provided. There were at least 3 games of at least 2000 and one of those was over 3000. Those kinds of numbers wouldn't be possible if everyone played at one site...no way like 9,000 people come out to one site.

Therefore, love it or hate it (I love having a home game or two), but it's a smart business decision for the conference.

Carry on...

Speaking of home court advantage at tourneys, I see Siena won tonight and are headed to championship game. Looked it up and their last four Championship wins '02, '08, '09 and '10 were all when the tourney was held at the TU/Pepsi. Home court advantage is real. With the MAAC the Championship game isn't held by the top seed like it had been when the AE had a one location Tournament. But we always knew that, re: our home/away argument for the UA/Siena game.

Anyway, I hope we can get our business done on LI tomorrow and UNH can pull an upset so that we have can both Championship games on the purple and gold court!

I think it's safe to say the coaching change turned out okay...a week ago ya'll were questioning it. I don't watch or follow the woman's team much but I'm glad to see we're at least runner up for the title. AGAIN. Kudos to the team.

Coach Mac needs to improve her in game management - only called one time during the semi final game. No reason to save timeouts, they don't carry over to next game. I would also like to see Heather and TJ on the floor at the same time once in a while. All in all she has gotten this team to the final and a chance at a 6th in a row championship. These young women are amazing. So far so good.
