they having a great discussion and it goes to my point...the committee sees games in February/March equal to games in April...if that is the case then Coach Marr needs to stop scheduling Syracuse as the first game of the year. Team looks completely different in May compared to February/March. UA got screwed because they lost by 1 goal to Cuse and/or Maryland.

I dont look at it that way. If they didnt play maryland this season and instead played that garbage school from the surburbs and even if albany beats them by 50 we probably dont get a home game. Obviously just sbout all the teams in the field (other than the lowly maac champ) are pretty good. This is an opportunity to beat north carolina in prime time at home to show the country we have a final 8 team.

Screwed? You've got to beat whatever opponent you get. Everyone can complain about some matchup or bracket. Just win. You wanted games against better opponents, now you've got them. Go Danes. Let's pack Casey Stadium with Purple!

News flash. We play in a $iena conference, pretty much across the board. It's no different in mens or women's basketball. Such is life.

The conference needs to improve or we need to find a new one. Obviously not as simple as that but it is what it is. And bias isnt limited to small schools. The same thing happens to major conferences in a variety of sports where they get the short end of the stick because there's a conference dominating year in and out (ACC in bball and SEC in football). Only when there are numerous examples of the underdog conference exceeding expectations will the tide be reversed.

Those of you who are recommending getting out of the ameast are MISSING one important point. In lacrosse the ameast is a argueably already the third best conference after the acc and big ten. You might argue Patriot as #3, but ameast has already surpassed the caa and ran past the ivy years ago. Last year's ameast finalists (Hartford & VT) did not even make the tournament this year; showing the competitiveness top to bottom in this league. Ameast teams this year won 29 occ games. If you assume each team plays 8 occ games and perhaps 2 of those games are against the acc or big 10, than you should be able to see that against all other leagues the ameast won approximately two thirds.

[for non-math people: 29/7 ameast teams = 4.1; 8-2 (removing acc & big 10); 4/6 = 2/3]

You might argue, remove UA the class of the league from the equation; but if you did, the exact #s would only go from 68% to 63% and in all fairness if you took out UA's #s you have to take out the alpha team (if there is one) in every other league.

Of course, this really is all nonsense, unless you believe Cuomo is going to pony up money to join the acc or big ten. And I doubt either league would take us in lacrosse only. In lacrosse at least the ameast is (pretty much) as good as it gets.

Massey conference ratings have the ACC and Big 10 at the top, then a step down to a tight group (Colonial, Big East, Ivy, AE, and Patriot in that order) and then another step down to the NEC, SoCon and MAAC.

Don't forget America East was also the third-ranked men's soccer league last fall, behind only the ACC and PAC-12 and ahead of 21 others.

If anyone has access to tickets and isn't planning on using their allotment could you please consider contacting me? I am alumni and would like to purchase at least 2 seats but there aren't any 1st level seats available and I would love to be down with the home team fans. Thanks!

I think some of the lower level seats are listed as sold out because they are alloted to the NCAA and NC. Much better view of the field on the second level! - Don't quote me on that though - just a guess based on other people saying that 2200 tickets have been sold so far and based on the # left it appears that there are WAY more than that sold.
