RIP Susan Hooley

I mean words can't describe this. It's beyond sad to hear this news. She raised an amazing son academically and athletically. Despite the sadness, it was and most likely will still be amazing how the UAlbany community, basketball program and athletic department truly came together during these terrible events. I don't know if Peter ever looks at this board, but if he does, he should know that he just didn't lose a parent today...all of UAlbany and the purple family lost a parent today.

 

And that goes for Peter and anyone else who ever has to deal with the crap disease.

I wish the like button worked. Very well stated! I am actually choked up, and I don't even know the Hooley's personally. That's how much an impact that Mrs. Hooley made: the way she raised her child makes you just want to be a part of that family.

 

Rest in peace Mrs. Hooley. You gave this earth a wonderful family, and a great, great son in Peter.

Heartbreaking... She evidently was a great woman who raised an incredible son whom we are proud to call a part of the UA family.

Wow. I know all too well what Peter is going through. Wish for the best for him and his family. I'm glad that he had a chance to go home before it was too late.

Feel so terrible. Such a great guy, has such a strong family. Can't imagine what they are going through right now, but I am glad Peter was there to be with his mom and his family.

It is sad. She was so young too. I hope Peter's family encourages him to get back to following his dreams. He has a lot of friends and supporters here in Albany.

When that will be, Brown has no idea. He wants Peter Hooley to take as much time as he needs.

 

I think his mindset and intent is to come back and play, Brown said. I am not going to lie to you, it doesnt matter if he plays or not. What matters to me is that he feels comfortable. The last couple weeks, his mom was itching for him to leave and come back here. His mom really enjoyed watching him play so much.-TU
